Gov Brown demands storm relief money from Trump. I say let California drown

Hmmmmmm, who might be selfish?

Working, tax-paying, non government plantation dependent, law abiding American citizen living within their means so as not be a financial burden to others.

vs

Lazy, non tax-paying, government plantation dependent, law breaking American citizen or illegal alien, stealing bucks from the former because they're only thinking of themselves.

I say let Trump try and withhold money from California.

If he does, Cali should stop paying any taxes to DC.

Absolutely, I agree. And, they are no longer to be recipients of funds for defense, education, financial assistance, health care and transportation. Everybody's happy :)

California's economy compares to other nations, not just other states.

Calexit gains momentum. Could California actually leave the nation?
A group calling for California to secede from the United States officially submitted a proposed ballot measure on Monday for review.

California pays more to the federal government then they get back in spending.

RED STATES are more dependent on the federal government than blue states are.

Not that lame argument, again. In my State, there is one blue district and six red ones. The blue district is the ONLY district where food stamp use is more than 1 in 5. It's also a district where the demographics were purposely made 60% black. Should tell you something?

I looked at the state directly to the north and directly to the south of mine. The one to the north has two districts where more than 1 in 5 get food stamps. Wanna guess what color they are? There are two answers to that question and the colors combined are similar to that of a bruise, black and blue.

The state to the south has three district where more than 1 in 5 get food stamps. 2 of the 3 are blue with a black gerrymandered majority.

There are 63 district nationwide where more than 1 in 5 get food stamps. Should I look through all 63 and provide the breakdown?

So you support people not paying taxes? Strange coming from someone that claims he supports the concept of fair share.

Fucking liar.

The dumbasses on the left believe those that earn and provide their own way are selfish for wanting to keep more of it while those unwilling to earn their own way while demanding someone else's hard earned money are perfectly fine doing so.

That would be you, twat.

You fucking idiot.
They pay in far more than they get back.

california sends back more money due to the companies being there. Anyone who is 100% sure that companies would be staying in an independent california without the benefits of the rest of the US in terms of world power would be lying.

By itself the US is already having trouble protecting the IP of some of these companies. California by itself would do much worse.

We have billions in unfunded pension liabilities. Who is going to pay for that? How are we going to afford an army? Who is going to pay S.S. and Medicaid for people in the state?

We've got ours, eh? How very ignorant, rude and flip.

I and others have paid a lifetime in taxes from working hard, to citizens in true need. Also to citizens who never worked a day in their lives. Also, to immigrants coming here legally and peacefully needing a bit of care for the first few months of their arrival. A lot of us attend churches and synagogues with outreach and missionary programs sending untold billions of our money to build wells in villages, deliver food and medicine and clothing to the truly destitute. Many American citizens have adopted orphans made so by the ravages of war. As a whole, America has been the most giving of aid, time and money of any nation ever founded on this earth. If the new style immigrants want to show a drop of gratitude, let them pitch in and help the city who is welcoming them.

Great response Stretch.

Jerry Brown Braces California for a $1.6 Billion Deficit as the State Considers Legal Defense Fund for Illegal Aliens
http://immigrationreform.com/2017/0...siders-legal-defense-fund-for-illegal-aliens/
But one group of California residents seems likely to be spared the pain of the state’s fiscal crisis: The ones who earned their special place in the hearts of California lawmakers by violating U.S. immigration laws. Even with a $1.6 billion deficit looming (and politicians often lowball bad budget numbers), two of the first bills likely to be taken up by the Legislature are Senate Bill 6 and Assembly Bill 3.

Both of those measures would commit state dollars to establish a legal defense fund for illegal aliens who might face deportation under the Trump administration – anywhere from about $10 million and $80 million according to the bills’ sponsors. That would be on top of the $10 million already allocated by the perpetually cash-strapped City and County of Los Angeles and similar funds likely to be set up by San Francisco, San Jose and other localities that pride themselves on placing the interests of illegal aliens ahead of the security and well-being of everyone else in their jurisdictions.

The $10 million to $80 the state is considering using to help illegal aliens flout the law is a pittance compared with the deficit Brown is forecasting but it says a lot about where the priorities of the state’s political leadership lie. Based on their response to Californians who have faced tragedy as a result of the state’s sanctuary policies it was hardly a mystery.

"Feel-Good-ism" costs a lot of fucking money.

When they told him "put your money where your mouth is" he pulled his jar of Susan B. Anthony's and started chugging.

Governor Moonbeam fer crissakes! Need more be said ffs?

Typically selfish GOP reaction to human suffering.

Human suffering.??? These are illegals Brownie gives all those freebies to while the state's infrastructure crumbles. If illegals are suffering, they need to go home and demand their own country take care of them.. THINK, america-hater.
