Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
Think of the billions of tax dollars moonbeam gave to illegals - money that should have been spent on flood prevention.

feb 10m 2016 Gov. Jerry Brown has asked President Donald Trump to declare a major disaster for the state because of damage caused by powerful storms last month, with Friday’s request an initial step in seeking federal aid.

Brown’s letter to Trump cites an “atmospheric river storm system” that unleashed days of “relentless heavy precipitation” and high winds beginning Jan. 3, causing flash floods, power outages and damage to public works.

“The impacts associated with this series of storms were substantial and widespread, devastating much of California,” the letter reads. The storms, it said, contributed to eight deaths in seven counties.

The storms prompted Brown to declare a state of emergency in 49 counties Jan. 23. Friday, the governor added three counties to last month’s declaration: Amador, Mono and Riverside.

In Friday’s letter, Brown said years of years of drought had left the ground unable to absorb “massive amounts of rainfall in such a short period of time.” The letter estimates that public assistance expenditures will exceed $162.3 million.

Typically selfish GOP reaction to human suffering.

You got yours, everyone else can go f**k themselves.

:rofl2:

We've got ours, eh? How very ignorant, rude and flip.

I and others have paid a lifetime in taxes from working hard, to citizens in true need. Also to citizens who never worked a day in their lives. Also, to immigrants coming here legally and peacefully needing a bit of care for the first few months of their arrival. A lot of us attend churches and synagogues with outreach and missionary programs sending untold billions of our money to build wells in villages, deliver food and medicine and clothing to the truly destitute. Many American citizens have adopted orphans made so by the ravages of war. As a whole, America has been the most giving of aid, time and money of any nation ever founded on this earth. If the new style immigrants want to show a drop of gratitude, let them pitch in and help the city who is welcoming them.

Los Angeles Plans $10M ‘Legal Fund’ for Illegal Immigrants
In an effort to defy federal immigration law and an upcoming plan by President-Elect Donald Trump to tighten immigration policies, the City of Los Angeles is setting up a “legal fund” to shield illegal immigrants from the law.

Jerry Brown Braces California for a $1.6 Billion Deficit as the State Considers Legal Defense Fund for Illegal Aliens
http://immigrationreform.com/2017/0...siders-legal-defense-fund-for-illegal-aliens/
But one group of California residents seems likely to be spared the pain of the state’s fiscal crisis: The ones who earned their special place in the hearts of California lawmakers by violating U.S. immigration laws. Even with a $1.6 billion deficit looming (and politicians often lowball bad budget numbers), two of the first bills likely to be taken up by the Legislature are Senate Bill 6 and Assembly Bill 3.

Both of those measures would commit state dollars to establish a legal defense fund for illegal aliens who might face deportation under the Trump administration – anywhere from about $10 million and $80 million according to the bills’ sponsors. That would be on top of the $10 million already allocated by the perpetually cash-strapped City and County of Los Angeles and similar funds likely to be set up by San Francisco, San Jose and other localities that pride themselves on placing the interests of illegal aliens ahead of the security and well-being of everyone else in their jurisdictions.

The $10 million to $80 the state is considering using to help illegal aliens flout the law is a pittance compared with the deficit Brown is forecasting but it says a lot about where the priorities of the state’s political leadership lie. Based on their response to Californians who have faced tragedy as a result of the state’s sanctuary policies it was hardly a mystery.

I find it the height of arrogance when Liberals of a certain state attack the rest of the country for electing a president that they don't like and thinking they're so great that they should just secede, while simultaneously demanding federal money when they don't even want to work with the federal agencies to enforce federal laws. And, of course, many of these same Left-wing hacks also continue to view tax money as "charity", and forget that true charity still exists outside of government, is much more efficient, personal, and effective. It's pretty simple... help federal agencies enforce federal law, apologize for your arrogance, and admit that your virtually-bankrupt state needs the federal government for assistance.

There's more than enough money Brown could get from Streisand, Springsteen, other Hollywood elites to put their money where their collective mouths are, the lib computer billionaires, etc. Let him go hat in hand to them.

Looks like California may have just put themselves between the proverbial rock and the hard place.

California's economy compares to other nations, not just other states.

Calexit gains momentum. Could California actually leave the nation?
A group calling for California to secede from the United States officially submitted a proposed ballot measure on Monday for review.

California pays more to the federal government then they get back in spending.

RED STATES are more dependent on the federal government than blue states are.

Natural disasters have no favorite political party. They do not decide who they are going to hit based on voting records. Get these folks the help they need. The only silver lining is it may help decrease the drought they have been going through.
