Instead, the scientific consensus is not merely that Earth's climate is changing at an alarming rate. Current news cites the example as the huge crack developing in our polar ice, and if the ice separating from the ice cap becomes an iceberg, it'll according to professor Rosemary Armeo be the largest iceberg ever known to humankind.
Our climate is not static. It is dynamic. The term "the ice age" is familiar in our lexicon. It's a misnomer. Earth has had numerous ice ages. Earth's climate varies. Earth's top climatologists will swear to it.
The issue in this thread is ANTHROPOGENIC climate change. It's not merely that it's warming. That alone would be cause for concern. It's that it's warming BECAUSE of human industry.
Do the cost benefit analysis. Is clinging to a non-scientific delusion by denying it worth dying for? Even if they're wrong, is having cleaner air and water really such a severe penalty to pay for switching from coal burning commercial power to wind turbines and solar farms?
We can decentralize the grid!
We can render the entire nation less vulnerable to sabotage, to terrorist mayhem, if 40% or more of U.S. homes have their own in situ power generating capacity.

I seriously doubt that Al Gorians have even HEARD of Milankovitch cycles.
Climatology is one of the simplest sciences I've ever studied. Partly because it's still in its infancy. Climatologists are just glorified weathermen.
