Education alone won't be enough. You're right, everyone won't be a programmer. However, we have to foster a more accessible health and education environment if we are to survive as a prosperous nation. Health care provides lots of jobs that cannot be exported. Irrespective of how one feels about Obamacare, there are 3 million jobs connected to it. Expand access to health care and you've expanded the job field with good paying, non-exportable, non-machine jobs.

We need a different approach, one that benefits the whole.

America has never been the nation it pretends to be .. but we could be.

2) White collar supervisory positions will be needed
3) Some sort of robot maintainers and servicers will be needed.
4) If the plant is located in the US then raw materials will most likely be sourced in the US too as you dont want a long supply chain creating business there.
5) Instead of our transport industry only taking care of the final leg , from port to store, it will take care of all the legs from raw material delivery to final product delivery creating more demand
6) The people employed have more money to spend and create new demand for jobs in their economy.
