As I see it, asking people to explain the differences they see in one politicians actions to another's can be helpful in determining the level of consistency in a poster's judgment or how informed they are of each politician's action(s)... To me, that can potentially be very substantive. If you get tired of seeing these questions, that could be evidence that there's too much hypocrisy in the criticism certain posters give only to one political side...

Thingy does this all the time. He complains about the "what about Obama" while he frequently uses the very same arguments against those he does not politically agree with.

I don't know what happened to him, but after Trump won, he slowly became unglued and has only become more unhinged by the day. Like another poster told him, I used to respect him, but he has lost it since the election.

I'm sure I'll be attacked as a "hack" for saying this, but in my experience, the "left" is drenched in hypocrisy, and I think it's mainly because they tend to be more emotional or politically persuaded through emotional arguments, and thus, more short-sighted in the views they hold, or done in a moment of emotional weakness. Rob Lowe even said something similar in 2011 (at about the 0:44 second mark in the below video):

And whenever I see hypocrisy alleged towards the right, it tends to either be a false case where actual differences can be explained and noted, or it is specific to a certain poster's statements who may have gone too far with provocative statements.
