I'm all for inclusiveness -what I'm not for is inclusiveness (diversity) as a goal in itself.

Excellence has to be the goal.
Excelling in anything means you reap the rewards/ US excellence means we have better jobs/better economy -more wealth.
It funds a quality lifestyle for all of your choosing. You do it with education, but also good job opportunities

Then you can tax it -redistribute it -whatever the social engineers with the approval of the populace want to do.
You want to make sure all the gains do not go to the top 1'rs.

That what the Repubs and Dems miss - the repubs with their sole desire for trickle down,and the Dems for their sole desire for fairness

Last sentence simply false. It also assumes the system by which the wealthy acquire wealth itself is fair. That point is debatable.
How about we soak the rich, seize their assets and redistribute them to the poor, you know, just until we can figure out what the hell is going on?

Yep, you'll never break the power of the ruling elite unless you confiscate their wealth. This whole raising income taxes on the super rich as a solution, is a farce.

I don't think it's false. Bernie made big deal about income inequality -rightfully so.
But he never talked about how to grow GDP; in fact he wanted to put more constraints/taxes on corps.
H etalked about penalties..allkina vague but that was his economic platform.

Progressivism seems to act like corps are evil ( they surely give that impression) -in fact corps are just org/instruments of economic power. Repubs recognize that power and rightfully want to increase it -but they don't care about the effects on the people.

You gotta grow GDP - you need more wealth in the USA because of globalization - if not here it goes there.
Then you gotta makse sure everyone can benefit from the incresed wealth..This isn't rocket science -but the party tend to focus on one or the other.
