The post-truth era

Darth said, "no yes vote, no invasion"

That's like saying "no military, no invasion." And it doesn't answer my question, which I know makes you squirm.

Who made the decision to invade Iraq?

C'mon, bravs. You can say it. Answer that question, and don't give your usual half dozen qualifiers.

Thingy ! I'm surprised you don't know that and have to ask....look it up....Google is your friend.

and you'll probably find out that 209 Democratic Representatives voted for the War resolution,

a resolution that they all knew meant an invasion of Iraq too.....

Historical facts are amazing....when you them up it might even help you remember them.

Well, Douchebag Donald denounced the war, called Bush a liar, and alienated a lot of hawks and neocons over Republican ME policy. Arguably, his best achievement to date.

Congress allowed the decision.

They didn't make the decision.

Who would have thunk in 2003 that eventually, war cheerleaders would be bending over backwards to give Democrats "credit" for the war?

We know how you and other liberal democrats like to bash Bush lol. But congress wasn't an innocent by-stander. If Iraq was such a bad thing they had the power to stop the invasion, but they didn't.

That makes them culpable.

Are you a slow learner or what? Those Dems didn't make the decision to invade, bush did.

I guess you're forgetting that historical comment "the buck stops here."

None of you righties can actually say it. This is pretty wild.

Darth: who made the decision to invade Iraq?

I find it amusing that you think you're scoring some kind of grandiose partisan debate point lol.

It was Bush's decision. And if one is determined to indulge in some anti-Bush, partisan hackery, it stops right there.

But anyone who cares to remember knows the invasion of Iraq required the bipartisan support of congress.

Why is that so hard for you to accept?

Nice!!! You did it. Finally, after being completely shamed into doing it.

Correct, Darth. Bush made the decision to invade Iraq. Without his decision & rush to war, we never would have gotten into that 10 year mess.

If Democrats were such a big part of the decision, why was every Bushie saying that they were on the "wrong side of history" when Bush was doing his "Mission Accomplished" thing?

You're funny sometimes lol.

When have I ever denied it was Bush's decision? You're problem is that you act as though ours is a banana republic instead of a constitutional republic. Bush wasn't a dictator: before going to war he needed constitutional authority which could only be authorized by congress.

So basically, to assert that it was 'Bush's war' is misleading because congress played a significant role in it. In fact, your president elect has been called a liar for less.

How's that?
