Dakota Access Pipeline

The pipeline was going to be moved CLOSER to the Sioux than it was to the people of Bismark.

While the Sioux living on the reservation may be a smaller group numerically, the pipeline was going to be much closer to them than it was to the people of Bismark.

How about just for once we cut the emotional crap and deal with actual facts? How is I can find this out but you lot just accept any old bullshit fed to you by your rotten media?

"Then there is the issue at the very HEART of the tribes claims ... the water intake at Fort Yates, just downstream from the pipeline’s crossing of the river (where the pipeline will be buried some 90+ feet below the river). The tribe’s KEY claim is the pipeline threatens what they say is the sole source of water for the reservation - the Fort Yates water intake, which is a few miles downstream from the DAPL river crossing near Cannonball, ND - the site of the protest.

It is very hard though for the water intake at the heart of the tribes claims to be threatened if it does not exist.

Which is a fact - and the tribe full well knows it. The water intake at Fort Yates - the one the tribes says is the primary source of the water for the reservation - is to be shut down in the coming MONTHS.

The tribe has known since 2003 this intake would be replaced. The tribes water utility business received close to $40 million in Federal Government grants, including nearly $30 million in 2009 and since to build the NEW water intake and new water treatment plant in Mobridge SOUTH Dakota - over 70 miles away".

The river in question is the main tributory to the Mississippi River,
the source of farm irigation across the entire country and no, the Misouri River is hardly polluted.

Listen up sunshine, the water intake at Fort Yates for the reservation is being shut down and moved 70 miles to Mobridge South Dakota!! The pipeline is also to be buried over 90 ft under the river bed. So spare me your usual bed wetting bullshit and listen to some facts for a change. The Sioux know this very well but are keeping quiet for their own selfish motives.

No, you listen fuckface. We are talking about the source of the Mississippi and oil floats in water. Furthermore MY reply was to your ignorant reply so shut the fuck up.

Well if you weren't such an emotional numbnut you'd know those facts already instead of falling for any old crap from HuffPo, Alternet or Think Progress.

Why do I have the feeling if a Republican were President this story would be getting a WHOLE lot more coverage nationally and discussion on this board?

I've seen one post on this issue and it came from Christie and it was about candidate Trump supposedly having a conflict of interest over it. So absolutely nothing being discussed about the actual issue.

I don't remember ever posting about the Dakota pipeline but there have been so many posts....
