Why sex is about to get a lot less fun

I think there has been a lot of fear mongering.......

Well, it's not hard to put one in but there's a risk you can perforate the uterus. That can cause sepsis and mortality. The US has a very high standard of care, maybe too high considering the cost.

It's a tough call.

I got one word, I had my three kids and then...

VASECTOMY!

Best thing I ever did...
I have a friend who had a vasectomy over a year ago and has acute pain from time to time. The doctor told him that there is 10% chance that it can persist for a year or more. Certainly in his case it is more!

I think that a lot of that was due to the adverse publicity from the Dalkon Shield. Look at the damn thing, it was a crazy design. It is a bit like the Candiru fish that supposedly could embed itself in a male member.

Interesting how comservatives harp on Gov't getting too big, but they have no issue with the same Gov't enforcing what they see as moral issues
I want my government to have morals, not force them on the populace. Get your facts straight, you silly degenerate.

Mostly anecdotal rubbish, vasectomies have far more problems than IUDs!

Thailand is a poor country compared to the USA but IUDs are fitted routinely in hospitals, same story in Vietnam. How can they do that but a rich country like the US can't?

You have no idea how concerned conservatives in this country are that people might not only be having sex for reasons other than procreation but they might actually even enjoy it. Oh the horror.

Wouldn't have anything like as many abortions if IUDs were available cheaply.

They're dirt cheap. Installation costs you. In no small part due to the cost of malpractice.

The way the system is here you get sued if something goes wrong, and there's no zero risk medical procedure.

There you go, now you've pinpointed the real issue. It is all down to avaricious ambulance chasers like Jarod. I fear that that your country is truly fucked unless you rein in the legal sharks.

Malpractice costs are just one aspect of the problem here. I could live comfortably on what a general surgeon pays in malpractice insurance and they need to recoup the costs. Many of them are giving up private practice and becoming hospital employees just to escape it.

But then they become salaried and lose their incentive to produce, which leads to longer wait times for consumers.

Something needs to change and Obamacare wasn't the answer.
