You really are primitive over there, IUDs are available to all women for free on the NHS. It is just effing crazy that doctors charge $900 or more for a procedure that take less than 15 minutes.

It doesn't even make good economic sense as an IUD lasts for around 10 years. It's a no brainer. Why do you hate capitalism??![]()
well you Brits have this primitive notion that you should not be free to charge what the market will bear for human life. You really are primitive over there, IUDs are available to all women for free on the NHS. Thailand is a poor country compared to the USA but IUDs are fitted routinely in hospitals, same story in Vietnam. How can they do that but a rich country like the US can't?

They are usually fitted in clinics by nurses, I was just reading that less than 2% of women in the US use IUDs. That is just crazy to my mind, why would you want to use the pill all the time, with all the attendant problems, it just doesn't make sense to me.Anyone with minimal training can put an IUD in. I'll venture to say docs don't do it there.
