Airstrip One
Completely Effed
There's more retards than just Kaeperpick who are protesting America during the anthem.
You don't think McGuire/Sosa saved the game the next year?Man, I was a diehard baseball fan up to that point. I collected cards, I knew all stats etc. My passion for the game has never come close to returning to that level
We agree on a few on your list. I thought the campaign might have had some effect, but there was only one conflict with a debate.I wish it was? Why do i wish that? Look at what was said in this thread. There are people turned off from the sport because of Kap's actions. That's a fact. I listed four/five reasons earlier for the decline. I didn't say one reason was more a reason than any other.
Domestic violence has as little to do with viewership as Kaepernick.Oh yeah, throw in the domestic violence issue that is turning some off. Josh Brown being the latest
McGuire/Sosa didn't really come for another three years. They did bring a number of people back to the game but my passion never came back at the same levelYou don't think McGuire/Sosa saved the game the next year?

Losing Brady/Manning might have been one of the biggest, along with some injuries that kept local viewership down. Some teams just suck (Jets), so their viewers won't waste the time. In past seasons, they did barely enough to give fans a hope that they'll peak as playoffs neared.
But, when the playoffs near, you get an interest from viewers who have not been watching their local teams, but are now interested in how the season plays out.
Or, they're just tuning in hoping to see Brady get his leg broken.

Did viewership drop after the Vick incident? If/When people are pissed about a social issue, they go after the companies that sponsor the individual athlete. I'm not aware of any loss of sponsorship by Kaepernick.
MilwaukeeWhat team offers lower level seats for $35? Was it pre season?
Yea same here. In fact I've Never recovered my passion for pro sports of any kind since 94.Man, I was a diehard baseball fan up to that point. I collected cards, I knew all stats etc. My passion for the game has never come close to returning to that level
Neither did the A's.McGuire/Sosa didn't really come for another three years. They did bring a number of people back to the game but my passion never came back at the same level
Neither did the A's.
Kap attracts racists that would never watch football. Of course, they might switch channels right after the anthem.
Is there any citation for people who refuse to watch because of Kaepernick?
That explains it. I was surprised, however, to read about the disparity in the pricing for many clubs. In our market, second level seats are over $100.Milwaukee
True for many after the strike. Then we had the earthquake a few years later. Of course, if you lived in a market with a successful team, you quickly forgot how the game screwed you, and slowly began to watch again.Yea same here. In fact I've Never recovered my passion for pro sports of any kind since 94.
I'd rather go ride my bike or plan and execute a traditional five course Italian dinner. You should try my pappardelle pasta with beef ragu. All made from scratch, including the pasta. Beats any game on tv.
Still not as cool as the one that went off of Canseco's head!Shitty camera work, because you can't see the ball strike the scoreboard up there. I still remember the sound of the ball making contact. Thwunk!
