Islam is an ideology just like any other and a particularly vile one at that and the US has a long history of ideological standards for immigration.

I don't know, I have made mistakes in the past so I could have missed it, but I was looking for it particularly.

Its a case about banning anarchists not a particular religion.

"Face, Yours" supports banning all Muslims although by his own admission they are not all bigots or anti-Semites or sexists....

If that is not xenophobic I don't know what is... The guy is clearly a Trump supporter and he reflects the ideology of a percent of Trump Supporters... Thus.... My point proven.

It's not that cut and dry. That would be true if 50% of his supporters advocated a ban Hindus. Your problem is Islam isn't just a religion to a lot of Muslims---it more resembles a totalitarian ideology. The left will not or cannot come to terms with that *fact*.

The 50% are willing to ban all Muslims in order to keep the bad ones out. It would be identical to banning all Germans to keep the Nazis out 75 years ago.

In either event, it's a straw man because Trump had the sense to reformulate his policy to a ban on immigration from certain countries.

Kind of takes the issue from you.

Considering that xenophobia refers to discrimination against foreigners not judgement passed on another based on their ideology I would say that you don't know what the hell you are talking about.

No its not the same, Islam is a Religion. If you want to ban an ideology that is pervasive in Islam... okay, but you cant ban all Muslims, that is simply xenophobic and Un-American. Its not the same as the banning a Nationality. Do you understand the difference between a Nationality and a Religion?

It simply illustrates that you don't know what you are ignorant about. Study American history and the reason behind the 1st Amendment. You cant make value judgements about religious ideas and then be prejudice against the entire group because of that... well you can, but the Government can not if they want to be true to the ideals of why America was founded.

Its not off limits, but the government shouldn't take action against the larger group because SOME of them have beliefs that are inconsistent with our sense of freedom. Hell, clearly to me you have beliefs that are inconsistent with our sense of freedom...

No, by definition there are no good Nazi's or Stalinists because those are ideologies that are inherently inconsistent with freedom.

No, I am not opposed to banning homophobic people, anti-semites, or misogynistic people. I am not opposed to banning violent people. I am not opposed to banning totalitarians. (although Trump might have a problem.)
 
These people are just racists, if all Muslims disappeared tomorrow they'd just find someone else to hate.. They are consumed by hatred and racism for anyone different than themselves. They are unamerican, we should deport fascists like them, not Muslims.
