Socially acceptable to be racist?

It seems to me that Trump has brought forth a larger group than I thought existed who are starting to feel its socially acceptable to be racist or prejudice.

Its clear to me now that his talk about PC was (I say "was" because he barely mentions it anymore) code to suggest to the racist and bigots that it was okay to come out of the closet and support him. Why wont Pence call the KKK deplorable? Why? Because it would be saying exactly the same thing HRC said about some of his own supporters.

I am really surprised by how many Americans still cling to fear and xenophobia. I am surprised by how many are racist and are wide open to discriminating against an entire religion of MOSTLY peaceful people. I am surprised a political candidate can make a respectable showing without calling this shit out. I am surprised by how utterly unprincipled so many Republicans are, after so much lip service to being the "moral" party. Its clear that morality only means something to most of them if it can be made into a political issue that will help them gain power.

I am really shocked at how many fearful xenophobes are coming out of the closet now that they have been given cover.

Translation: Crooked ILLary might lose

She might, I have said that all along.

So, instead of name calling and attacks, tell me why I am wrong?

Ah yes because being opposed to Muslim immigration makes someone a bigot even though polling data proves that upwards of 90% of the global Muslim population is homophobic, anti-Semitic, and misogynistic with huge percentages endorsing AQ and supporting honor killings.

Being opposed to immigration of an entire religion is un-American, bigoted and un-American. Being opposed to immigration of homophobes, anti-Semitics, and misogynistic people is not un-American.

Can you see the difference? Read the first Amendment if you don't.

How many times and in how many different ways do Trump/Pence have to disown and disavow David Duke and his ilk?

You and the establishment media just don't get it. You and they aren't helping Hillary with this kind of thing---you're helping Trump.

Here's why: contrary to your narrative, the vast majority of Trump supporters aren't racist, xenophobic or whatever ridiculous adjectives are in vogue now. And beyond that, they are sick of being condescended to by liberals on race or the plethora of other ridiculous -phobias the left obsesses over.

Here is what that translates into: not only are you solidifying Trump's base, you risk losing independents who 'get it' about all the above. Some of them may not even care for Trump but they can't stomach the constant hypocrisy from a media that is so totally in the tank for Hillary---they will stoop to such low-ball and deplorable political tactics in order to keep her campaign afloat.

So please keep it up.

Except 90% of Muslims are homophobic, anti-Semitic, and misogynistic and there is no other link than the ideology of Islam.

Islam is an ideology just like any other and a particularly vile one at that and the US has a long history of ideological standards for immigration.

Can you see the difference? Read the first Amendment if you don't.

The 1st amendment doesn't apply to immigration and naturalization legislation. In United States ex rel. Turner v. Williams the SCOTUS ruled that Congress "possesses the plenary power to exclude aliens on whatever ground [it] deems fit."

More than 50% of Trump supporters support banning all Muslims, That is bigoted and xenophobic.

Regardless of the Supreme Court, the First Amendment expresses one of the very basic founding principals of non-discrimination based on religion. Trump, although he has gone back and forth on it, originally said he would ban more than just aliens. He said even Americans Muslims who left would be prohibited from returning.

The 1st amendment does not apply to immigration policy, a citizen can believe anything they want that doesn't mean we have to allow in undesirable aliens be they Nazi's, Communists, or Muslims again 90% of whom are homophobic, anti-Semitic, and misogynistic. Wrapping up a violent totalitarian ideology in the trappings of being ordained by an invisible man in the sky does not make it above scrutiny any different from any other ideology.

And Trump never said anything of the sort he was talking about people who go to fight for ISIL.

You can exclude Nazi's and Communists, but not Muslims.

Actually he said he'd ban all Muslims

"When asked by The Hill if his policy would prevent American Muslims from entering the United States, Hope Hicks replied, 'Mr. Trump said everyone.'"
