Have you looked at the poll numbers. Most of Trump's support comes from uneducated white people. Sure there are a few that have had some success, but obviously she was generalizing to some extent.

Trump and criticism of Obama have created a safe space for the bigots. They have become emboldened to take off their bedsheets and throw away their dog whistles. Hillary is just pointing out what is obviously true.

Why should anyone mince words? If conservatives had any sense they would purge these people, as Buckley did, instead of providing cover for them and pretending they don't exist.

Read 538's site. His supporters aren't mostly uneducated white peoole. A good number no doubt but not most.

It's funny, she'll probably give a talk tomorrow about the great people of 9/11 and how many of them do you think would be in her basket of deplorables?

I understand all that. I am a lifelong republican with a college degree and I will not vote for trump (nor Hillary) so I am in that grouping that trump is losing that republicans usually win. But where does it say they are a majority of his voters?

The facepalm is because you are misrepresenting what was said. Again, she was obviously generalizing and not saying that there are no non-bigoted successful voters among Trump's supporters. Of course, there are but they are not a very significant share of his support.

You are referencing aggregate numbers from the entire population of Trump supporters. It does not tell you much of anything about the different groups within those numbers.

Further, you are dropping part of the conditions to make your point or just replacing it. I referred specifically to "uneducated whites" not simply the uneducated.

So then your problem is that you don't understand that "mostly" does not necessarily mean a majority but can also mean the "the part of greatest significance?"
