I noticed that you ignored my statement that Trump has held these principles for decades. A good negotiator will find a way to make a deal without defiling his core principles.

I'm in the office so can't post any articles at the moment but there is nothing conservative or free market about tariffs or a trade war. We saw what they did during the depression and they aren't going to do anything now. You aren't going to find Milton Friedman, Hayek, Mises etc arguing for tariffs. They want to reduce/eliminate them. It's crony capitalism to back certain industries. And I'm sure Teump has supported them forever because he's a democrat.

Again, I'm talking about reasonable tariffs, not punitive tariffs. Your argument is about reduced tariffs, which is the same thing.

Trump is speaking about adding tariffs, not reducing them. I'm not a fan of the term "reasonable tariffs" in the sense it reminds me of people who support "reasonable gun control" laws. Now I know we won't have zero tariffs but we should be fighting to reduce what we currently have, not adding to them. Special interest, crony capitalists, want more tariffs.

Gun control isn't at all comparable to tariff or tax rates.

Supporting Hillary Clinton in order to get rid of Trump by the never Trump republicans is about the dumbest strategy ever induced in American political history by a group of political elitist snobs. The never Trumpers are committing political suicide banking on this whole idea that Trump's supporters in the millions who make up his base which is almost three times larger thanks to Trump than it ever was for The GOP will fall in line and support another Bush or Kasich in 2020.

It aint gonna happen snobs. Trust me.
