If you want to stop fighting wars support Gary Johnson. Trump is talking about spending billions more on the militery and taking out ISIS. You don't take out ISIS by not fighting them and in the process creating even more refugees. And we're not spending billions more on the military to have it just sit there.

How do you know what Trump will do? I already know what Hillary will do. There's no guess work with Hillary. She is the most corrupt, unethical candidate the democrats have ever run for high office.

Recently the UK christened their newest polar research ship and asked Britons to vote for what the ship should be named.

The name garnering the most votes was "Boaty McBoatface!

The lesson to be learned from this is: the BEST doesn't always get the most votes...sometimes the orange-faced clown gets the most.

Everything to Trump is a negotiation so that he writers down a position doesn't mean a whole lot to me.

There have probably been a couple hundred Trump threads on this board so I have nothing new to add that hasn't already been said but he is a democrat at heart that doesn't represent conservative values and has clearly shown himself not to be President material.

Not when it's the truth it's not. There are too many things he's said to count where he walks them back the next day. He has very few underlying principles. And the threat of trade wars and tariffs is the complete opposite of conservative or free market unless we have changed the definition of the term.

Except it's not the truth. Trump has held these basic principles for decades.

You seem to forget that the treasury was funded for the first 100 or so years almost exclusively with tariffs. I'd define many of the presidents in that era to be conservatives.

We didn't have an income tax at that time. There are almost no "conservative" or "free market" economists today who support tariffs or a trade war. It would be disastrous for our economy.

Punitive tariffs, yes. But now we have punitive taxation. And punitive regulation. And a partisan IRS, FBI...

Moderate tariffs- to pay for the worldwide security forces that we provide to make global free trade possible- is entirely a conservative concept. Like gas taxes paying for roads, it's as close to a free market model than you can get without privatizing roads.

I noticed that you ignored my statement that Trump has held these principles for decades. A good negotiator will find a way to make a deal without defiling his core principles.

this is a good point. Regular republicans had to swallow romney because thats what the establishment wanted now that the shoe is on the other foot we see the establishment is only interested in take not give.
