We Need Trump @WeNeedTrump

Kaepernick's $114 million contract is really keeping him down...

2:17 PM - 29 Aug 2016

"...the tweeter of the above cartoon, @WeNeedTrump, seemingly failed to make a connection many others did: Wealthy people criticize America regularly without incurring the criticism Kaepernick did this weekend — and in fact, one of them is running for president.

Peter Wade articulated as much for Esquire: "And let's not forget we have a presidential candidate whose campaign slogan is Make America Great Again. The key word in that phrase is 'again,' meaning that America right now is not great."

Indeed, Donald Trump's convention speech last month described America as falling apart, a nation devoid of jobs, brimming with illegal immigrants and rampant with crime. It was a bleak indictment of the nation.

Actually, many Trump supporters told USA TODAY they like the candidate because of his willingness to state blunt truths about America and "tell it like it is," unburdened of the perceived niceties of "political correctness."

Trump's speech drew many critics, but few said his wealth disqualified him from critiquing America's state. (Every president since Eisenhower has been a millionaire.)

Interesting that Kap chose to wear a Fidel Castro shirt to his post game press conference. Leaving aside he would not have the right to do what he did here over there, Cuba isn't exactly a progressive country when it comes to race.

It's a stupid protest, but he had the right to do it.

He's a privileged black man whose parents provided him a good upbringing in a stable two parent home. They did this as Americans, who themselves, were afforded privileges granted to them BECAUSE they are Americans.

Black lives, that are stuck in bad neighborhoods, improve when their families are healed, and their sons and daughters have sober, working, fathers back in the home.

America is an imperfect nation that strives after perfection. Punks like Kaepernick have zero intellectual intelligence. He's a band wagoner who can afford to be stupid.

How is your reaction different?

Conservatives invented pc. They have long demanded that we all adhere to old and tired social norms. They used to get offended when women wore pants and still do in Utah.

Conservatives always throw a fit when anyone suggests that our nation/culture is or has been anything less than perfect and that might be the worst form of pc.

I don't much care about social conservatism, I am more libertarian.

But PC is killing people. Too scared to scrutinize 20 year old arab men with islamic sounding names, that buy 1-way tickets, that are acting suspicious. Airport security wanted to aleart LE but due to their PC SOP they weren't allowed to on 9/11. As a result 3000 people dead because we weren't aloud to "profile."

Same in San Bernardino Calif, the neighbor didn't want to be seen as racist, so she didn't report her terrorist neighbors.

You said: "it's odd that someone could hate a country as much as he hates the one that has treated him so well." Your comment that he "hates the country so much" is supposition, given that I didn't see the word "hate" in his comment.

And in your drug infested delusions you were talking about some sort of "symbol" which has nothing to with anything I said ever.

The greatest argument against liberalism is liberals. That's you, dim wit, since you're such a stupid pussy

Poor Fake. She's misunderstood and mistreated.

"I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color," Kaepernick told NFL Media in an exclusive interview after the game. "To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."

Did you know the oldest condoms on record were in the 1640s? Sad your parents didn't hear of them centuries later

There are 5 million things more important than Kapernicks temper tantrum. He is a fraud of a player trying to draw attention away from his shitty play.

I will say this for Kaep. With the prospect looming of him being handed what's left of his guaranteed money, and then being shown the door, he could have simply prepared for retirement on a nice beach. The way he partied and self-promoted, that's basically what most people expected him to do. But, getting active in a cause is certainly more fulfilling than that, and his recent comments show that his sitting down was more than just a one-time gimmick.

What is it with the left and that sort of thing.
