the entire theory behind going after the latino vote is that they are catholics so would be "socially conservative" at least that is the lie fed to republicans as the bosses need the illegal immigration to ramp up for cheaper labor.

In reality most of south and central american christianity is heavily influenced by "liberation theology" it has been used by a veichle of marxists to get the change they wnt which makes them more likely to vote democrat.

The current pope is a perfect example of liberation theology.

You have to reach back to 1963 for a rejoinder, pretty sad. And don't forget a year later Johnson gave the country the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
