excuses, excuses.. when I was growing up this would have been a reason for impeachment..
no.. better yet ..avoiding the appearance of impropriety was the standard..

Suppose he wins and has cases before the court ( which happens all the time) would not her lambasting his abilities
go towards his incompetence as

a.. arguing (filing) the correct line in the case -which makes the case unheard or dismissed
b...hiring incompetent solicitors ( AG/Solicitor general)
c...plain old unconstitutionality based on his flawed ideas of governing
or
d..going against Ginsberg's impartiality

Somehow I think you'd have quite a different reaction if Alioto, Roberts or Thomas started publicly proclaiming Hillary was a criminal who couldn't be trusted and shouldn't be in the White House. You would be having a sh*t fit.

I would, you are right! Simply because Scalia got away with his shenanigans all those years, so if Ruth feels she needs to warn the voting public about Trump, then I commend her!

A judge should not:
(1) act as a leader or hold any office in a political organization;
(2) make speeches for a political organization or candidate, or publicly endorse or oppose a candidate for public office; or
