Are Cons Coming to Terms With Racism in American Policing?

And of course it goes without saying that your president considers the police to be *THE* problem in the black community.

Things like out-of-wedlock births, single parent families, narcotics abuse, crime, lack of emphasis on schooling, unemployment, gangs, violence ... none of those things ever seem to get his dander up like them damned coppers.

Poor cops.

Go ahead and mock.

There are five families in Dallas this week minus a father or son, all of whom died protecting the Constitutional rights of you freakazoid BLM types.

Their deaths are mourned in ways your own meaningless existence will never warrant.

You think I'm a BLM member?

I prefer to think of the NRA protecting the Constitutional right of people like Micah Brown.

You're a Life Member, aren't you, Officer?

That's a truly pathetic answer, Darth. Are you really so blind to what goes on in the black community? Seriously?

So much harassment doesn't show up in "stats." Are you seriously contending that blacks are making this up - that this is just delusional on their part?

Really sad. I just feel bad for you, more than anything. Such epic ignorance.

Think about what you're saying, Thing. Little blacks kids get shot in drive by shootings all too often in some of the worst communities.

Are you seriously contending that cops harassing blacks [to whatever extent it goes on] is a bigger problem than the carnage?

I find it hard to take your outrage seriously.

Here are four common arguments that have no merit:

1. Affirmative Action takes jobs and scholarships away from white people.

2. White culture can be appropriated, too.

3. Black-on-white crime is proof that black people just hate all whites!

4. BET, Black Girls Rock and Black History Month exclude white people. How racist!!

And then, there's the inverse:
1. Affirmative Action has to be enforced for equality, no matter the skill level

2. Black culture is required to be appropriated.

3. White on Black crime is proof that White people just hate all Blacks!

4. Organizations for White people aren't allowed; because they exclude Blacks. How racist!!

This is an almost impossibly stupid response. I don't know how someone even thinks of something this stupid, much less posts it.

Why is it that?
Many JPP liberals and protesters have said that Cops just WANT to shoot Black people, so why didn't the Cops open fire on the protesters when the riflemen started shooting.

Seems like it would have been the perfect opportunity, if the rhetoric is fact.

Well stated. It's a challenging situation. You'll hear poor blacks for instance say they're tired of having drug dealers stand on their street corners everyday and threaten and intimidate the neighbirhood to the point where people are afraid to go outside or let their kids outside. They went the cops to come help keep the neighborhood safe.

Yet the flip side is people will say the cops come in and f with them and harass them and think every young black is dealing drugs etc. I'm not sure how to fix it but I wish we could

^ I hear stories like this on the news. Yet in one instance the cops who were supposed to be patrolling the neighborhood beat a 19-year old to a pulp for walking after dark with a can of soda in his pocket. Then the officers got reinstated with no discipline. If you hear enough stories like this on a regular basis, you're bound to get very jaded about cops.

"Miles claimed the officers never identified themselves as police and savagely beat him as he was walking from work to his grandmother’s house. The officers said Miles’ injuries resulted from his violent attempts to escape. The settlement ends the appeal."
