Yes. I believe I disagreed with him at the time. Believe it or not you can disagree with someone, say so, and still have a cool relationship. Radical.
 
You know, you can be anti-war (which btw anatta is not, he's just against wars started by politicians he loathes), without making a hero, or even a "good guy" out of the opponent. I was against Iraq and I never thought Saddam was a good guy, or good for his people.

The NTC came in and imprisoned a lot of sub-Saharan workers afterward -that was also his concern

Iraq, Libya and damn near every stupid war with the possible exception of Grenada.

"anti-war" is a stance. It's principled but not especially helpful when deciding what to do/not do.
