Who will The donald select as his running mate??

I find VP strategy to actually be vastly overrated when it comes to elections. I am pretty sure I saw something from nate silver that VP choices don't really end up changing the election very much.

But lets put that aside for a moment.

Trumps main goal is to turn out the white vote, especially in rust belt type states. Maybe scott walker?

I'm pretty sure Scott Walker would not take the job.

Trump with his cabinet.

I hope it's Kasich. That way, if Glen Beck goes all patriotic on Douchebag Donald, we get a competent president out of the deal.

Kasich would sooner set himself on fire than run with Donald.

I don't think so. Of the candidates who did not establish themselves as Trumptard loyalists (i.e. Christie & Carson), you have a handful who have endorsed Trump, to include Huckabee, Gilmore, Paul, Graham, Jindal, Walker, and Perry. I believe that Little Marco has declared himself on-board, as well, pending an official endorsement.

Basically, that leaves Kasich, Cruz, Fiorina, Bush, Pataki, and Santorum as not having endorsed. Douchebag Donald can't really select fellow NYer Pataki, while Cruz, Fiorina, and Bush are all known to loathe him.

I think the most viable options from that list are Walker and Kasich - the two Midwest governors, who have appealed well to their respective states - and Little Marco, who has been viewed off-and-on as a future star in the GOP. I've never really gotten the vibe that Kasich is truly above Douchebag Donald or the vice presidency. Nationally, he is more respected than the other two.

It increasingly looks like the Donald will go down in flames, given his poll numbers and his truculence regarding campaigning in any meaningful way, I wonder who would be willing to run with him. Nobody with a plan to have a future in politics is likely to accept.

It will have to be someone whose career is over looking for a "last go" or someone who is looking for redemption.

The first category fits Newt, the second is Palin or Christie.

Who else would accept likely political suicide at this point?
