Strange. Would you prefer a few "Quotes" recorded in scripture and accredited to Christ Jesus concerning ARMS and SELF DEFENSE?

".....he who has no sword let him sell his garment and buy one." -- Luke 22:36. Why would the Christ promote the ownership of weapons? Its for SELF DEFENSE when the obvious need for armed defense is required. Jesus was advising His immediate disciples on what was required to be taken with them on the GREAT COMMISSION he was preparing them for in order to evangelize the world after His death.

Before Jesus had sent the disciples out to convert their neighbors and fellow countrymen in their immediate area and He had advised them to TAKE NOTHING, only the clothes on their backs as their needs would be met by their neighbors....first the 12 close to Him (Matt. 10:1-14, 14:1-14, Mark 6:7-16, 30:34)....then the 70 were sent out (Luke 10:1-17) Why would they need nothing? They KNEW THEIR NEIGHBORHOODS and ITS PEOPLE. (Matt. 10:5-6).

But it would be a different story with the Great Evangelical Commission after His death. They were ordered to spread the gospel to the word (Matt. 28:18-20). Jesus had preached on the fact that different portions of the world were often manned by murderers and thieves that would lay in wait on strangers (Luke 10:30)

How do we know that the weapons were for self defense only? The disciples revealed the fact that 2 of the 12 disciples were already PACK'N (they had 2 sword among the 12)......Jesus stated that 2 would be enough (Luke 22:38).

Even in parables Jesus authorized the use of WEAPONS FOR SELF DEFENSE....in stating that "...when a strong man is fully armed and guards his own....HIS GOODS ARE AT PEACE." -- Luke 11: 21.

In conclusion. Jesus had nothing against the use of weapons for self defense, as there is a difference between Murder and Justified killing.

This nation was constructed with FAITH, GUNS and GUTS. Only a fool fails to prepare for the obvious as demonstrated by the teachings of the Christ.

If you need an AR-15 to hunt, you shouldn't be hunting at all because you're either a shitty hunter or an idiot (or both).
