But Trump talks off the cuff like he's sitting around the table at the donut shop. It was a bone headed statement because it took the focus off of Hillary's troubles. He's lucky it's still early enough that many people will forget about it by the end of the month.

Politically, it will be interesting to see how Mexican Gate affects his poll numbers. The talking heads are all saying it's going to wreck his campaign. Problem is, their Trump-predicting track record isn't all that good lol. Some conservatives have unendorsed him over it, which is kind of pathetic in my mind. I don't have any use for a 'conservative' who cowers to political correctness.

I get the sense that people who take an honest assessment of it are going to look at the big picture. They're going to wonder why Trump gets the racist label while the Mexican 'protestors' who attacked white Trump supporters don't get the label. They are going to conclude a clear double standard. A very tired and threadbare, double standard.

Many are going to conclude Trump was misconstrued by a hostile media, and even by some in his own party who secretly wish his campaign would implode---even after endorsing him.

It will be interesting to see how it pans out.

The problem is that after the first comments Trumptard had a chance to think about it, but the next day he doubled down on the race card.

Racism is not an undefined term that you can just throw around or stubbornly deny depending on the situation. Trump hasn't melted down to the point of dropping a racial slur - this doesn't make his conduct clean or non-racist.

If Curiel is believed to be incapable of impartiality, and the basis is said to be a result of his being "Mexican" - it makes that belief, and subsequent accusation, racist.

And this nihilistic tactic you are using can be applied to anything you post. I can just ask "okay, but how is it X?"
