Dear Bernie (Robert Reich)

There should be a maximum voting age of 45, old people shouldn't be allowed to vote. They should just sit in their nursing home and take their meds, and not force Republicans on the rest of us.

Men and white people shouldn't get to vote.

The wealthy shouldn't be allowed to vote either.

Only Communist party members in good standing should be allowed to vote.

Don't I remember when you were a Libertarian or did I imagine that?

Nothing personal to you on this anatta but Sander's coalition will far apart like these other left wing groups do. Eventually these young kids grow up and get real jobs and raise families and realize how the world works and socialism ain't it.
And like your USC and Supply Side Economics predictions this one too shall not come true. ;)

Bernie is a Keynesian. A Social Democrat. He's hardly something new and...lest you forget about that little insignificant historical event called "The Great Depression" are the people whom actually saved Capitalism from itself.

What you're calling "socialism" is a hypocritical dog whistle. It's a double standard where by it's ok for a businessman to charge what the market will bear for their good and services but not individual people.

With the educated, skilled, professional and technical classes growing by leaps and bounds you had better get used to individuals fighting for their fair share of the economic pie. Fat guys in suits aint gonna get it all.

You think Keynes was all about free health care and free schooling? If you do you need to read up on what the man stood for.

And you my friend love using supply side as a dog whistle. If you don't support socialism then you must be a supply sider right?

Bernie wants the U.S. to be like Norway and other European countries. Even Hillary called him out on that. Is she a supply sider now?

I love how WM has turned commie and is now groaning my posts and putting people over 45 out to pasture. LOL

Watermark hasn't been a libertarian since politics.com. Most likely, you are just familiar with the idea of him once being libertarian, having been told stories about it.

Oh probaby then. I can't remember what most of you were when I first went to full politics. I didn't give it much thought and just mocked all of you and made you the butt of my razor sharp jokes. I used to be such a bitch.

Grind has regaled us with tales of Trinity members. As I recall, Watermark went from Christian Socialist to libertarian to Marxist-Leninist. He may have still been libertarian when we first arrived on FP.

I was a libertarian on fullpolitics and even the early days of justplainpolitics. I think I only stopped being a libertarian around the time I turned 20, and I still had libertarian tendencies for a long time that needed to be ironed out by brutal real world experience. I was also a liberal for a long time before ascending to socialism.

Cool, my memory is still aces! And an old hag like me who votes with my vagina and should be sent to a home if not euthanized outright. How do you like that!

colleges are not for exposure, they are for indoctrination. There is no more exposure to multiple ideas -jut ramrodding PC ones.
There is no real critical thought

...... or they are for educating people in a particular skill-set. You are more likely to have indoctrination coming from media outlets such as websites, talk radio and the news. You know, those outlets that claim colleges are brainwashing our youth into thinking socialism is awesome.

I don't think colleges indoctrinate students but this whole trigger words, safe spaces and limiting of free speech I find concerning. I'm 43 years old. Growing up I'd hear college was supposed to be this place of rigorous debate and great growth etc. Now it's you shouldn't have to hear anything you don't like or agree with. I'm not a fan.

indoctrination is true..try being a conservative voice on a college campus.
You'll get abuse, in general your life will be one of misery because of the cultish left's intolerance.

College students are taught the left is the only moral high ground, and if you don't want to hear a speaker-
throw a pie in their face - all of which is perfectly justified.

College used to be a place of challenging preconceptions -now it's there to reinforce such.

When, where, this happened to you? I don't understand how this babbling fool has so many people bamboozled. I guess I will have to put him on ignore because if I had him in front of me I would beat him about the face and head with my shoe.

The absolute epitome of a know-it-all, mediocre to low IQ male who has convinced himself and others he is bestowed with intelligence, insight, knowledge and wit he in no way possesses in any measurable way.

You mean like running the Counties Libertarian Party while attending college? Did it already. No pies were flung, and actually, the topic hardly came up because we were focusing on course work.

I guess the viewpoint is that any education towards whatever degree or path towards becoming a thinking human with a skill-set is considered indoctrination, since of course, we like these kids to not be able to think for anything. It's much easier to convince them to take the stupid route later in life when you keep them stupid now.

not to say it's a continuous running battle, but it happens to speakers..do you need cites? Coulter/Kristol come to mind.

That's such a right-wing stereotype. What are you basing any of this on?
