Hillary & Iraq

I have spoken on this before

Hilary made the mistake of trusting Bush to do the right thing.

He didn't

she has since proven to be a great Secretary of state.

but you think dems have to NEVER be wrong

tell us was Kasich pro war

*ahem* Libya too -where she had a direct chance to influence policy, she went for the most hawkish ( and destroyed Libya),
and called for regime change

then there was the idea of arming the Syrian rebels ( past the CIA's limited doings) -guess who was for that? (etc.)

Why can't you hold Hillary responsible for her own vote? You basically lay all the blame at Bush's feet. You're not an honest person.

She was a lousy Secretary of State.

I see you point Thing, but she just as easily have been a believer that Iraq had WMD, her husband certainly did throughout his term.....
The ones that voted for the resolution and learned the truth later, saying they were lied to is what I find disingenuous....they should have just maned up and taken
responsibility for their votes....not make lame excuses....

Courage and being principled is not very common in Washington....but blaming others is very common.....

Doesn't the fact Bill Clinton thought Saddam had WMD's go to the point that everyone did? Did he have something going with Haliburton lol?

It's an old and threadbare debate but it's too easy to criticize votes for the war in retrospect. The country had just had its worst attack by a foreign enemy in it's history.

I never criticized her vote.....I understood her vote.....I criticized their lame excuses for their votes and their refusal to stand by those votes.

Anyone that denies Clinton and his admin. believed Saddam had WMD are blind liars to the facts....

They made statements about WMD in Iraq in the '90's and well into the first months of the Bush admin....they KNEW exactly what their vote meant....they weren't lied to and dems just the
undeniable facts.....

Many Democrats believed Saddam Hussein had WMDs. In a letter to Clinton dated 10/9/1998 and signed by Tom Daschle, John Kerry, Carl Levin, and others in the Democrat party, they stated, "We urge you, after consulting with Congress, and consistent with the U.S. Constitution and laws, to take necessary actions, including, if appropriate, air and missile strikes on suspect Iraqi sites, to respond effectively to the threat posed by Iraq's refusal to end its weapons of mass destruction programs".

Pretty far cry from a full-scale ground invasion & 10-year war, eh?

Its laughable that air and missile strikes killing Iraqis don't constitute war in the eyes of the liberal Democrats.....they looked at that like a video game.....

Iraq War cheerleaders make me sick to my stomach. They couldn't possibly have been proven more wrong by history at this point. The GOP frontrunner who they're voting for even calls it one of our worst blunders.

And yet they still stick to their story. Sorry, hawks - you were all as wrong as you could be. And a lot of people died. And that's on you.
