Cruz's 4 P.M. Announcement.

If Sanders runs independent, Cruz could, as well, and throw the race into the House. But, Sanders has to take the first step. And I don't think he's above doing it.

Yep. The only reason for the announcement today was to try and draw attention to himself. I don't think candidates normally announce a VP this early.

i dont expect a major 3rd party candidate. republicans just like to jack themselves off to breaking the rullllllleez, but in the end they always get in line like the bitches they are. Remember when they were refusing to raise the debt ceiling? It's all bluster. They get off on pretending to fight these david v. goliath matches.

As a Cruz supporter I am disappointed in his performance. I still believe he is the closest ideologically to me but as I said he is not likable. And that counts for more than anything. Rubio was likable but he got shanked by the democrat party and fell for the Gang of 8 crap and he never recovered from it.
 
I dunno, he's a pretty delusional guy. Ever since that interview, he's really shown what a pathetic clown he really is. So many years in the socialist movement, and in government, yet no clue as to how anything works or how to implement his agenda.

i like cruz's idea about abolishing the IRS, but I have long accepted there are too many proles in this nation that would ever let that happen. The greedy 47% takers would never allow it.

What replaces it? Who collects taxes, or do we just stop collecting and allow people to send in what they like to run our country?

Voluntary basis would be good, yes.

Combine that with local taxes.

We'd have to lose social security (ponzi scheme), medicare and medicaid (fuck the old and poor) which is a huge chunk of our overall budget.

We would lose out on education (but this can be localized), states can handle roads, military would be a prob. that's the only thing we'd need help with, hopefully voluntary funds cover that.

They like to claim that they support all of these welfare programs for the poor, but that is nothing but a ruse to cover their true intentions which are that they want others money to care for them.
