Look at your comments about Nancy and Barbara. It's really no different than Hillary. Partisans are gonna partisans. The HUGE difference with Hillary as FLOTUS was she said all along she and Bill were a two for one combo and when she threw herself into the heart of the healthcare battle that was a game changer. Nancy Reagan and Barbara Bush did nothing like that (nor any other recent FLOTUS). You can't take the lead in that and then claim to be off limits.
Nancy practically ran reagan's schedule behind the scenes and used astrology to do it. She was behind Don Regan getting the axe and the hiring/firing of other political consultants. The only difference between her and Hillary is that she didn't come out openly and say what she was doing. You should do some googling on Nancy, you might be surprised at all the influence she had.
Also, it was Bill who said if he got elected people would get two for one, not Hillary. reagan said the same thing about Nancy but not in the same words so he got a pass.
Bernie has called himself a democratic socialist over and over. He doesn't try to hide it. I abhor a Democratic socialist as much as a socialist. He spent his whole career, until last year, as an Independent. Hillary Clinton ripped him on it during the debates that he was never a Democrat.
I already said that Bern calls himself a democrat socialist. My problem is when people think that puts him on a par with Marx and Lenin who really advocated a classless society where the government owned the means of production, i.e. communism. But, IMO even if by some long shot Bern got elected he could not turn the country to democratic socialism. I personally am more worried about someone like Cruz and his vision of American society and his strong belief in religious fundamentalism. There are more like Cruz than Bern in DC.
Hillary is not likeable, she does not have the charisma of her husband or Obama.
Well, I read Hillary's book and she came off as likeable. I also read Laura's, Sarah's, and Michelle Bachmann's books and they mostly came off as likeable too, Laura the most and Michelle the least IMO. How important is charisma in a president? Bill had it, Obama had it and people still hated them. Nixon and bush didn't and people still liked them.
If you want a male example look at Ted Cruz. I've rightfully heard numerous times he has a face you just want to punch. Your girl Desh has said he can't be President because he's too ugly. Cruz has that slimy look/feel to him. It's not a double standard. Men have to deal with that sh*t as well. Go back to the first Kennedy/Nixon debate.
The thing about Cruz is nobody in Congress likes him but it's not about his face. I'm sure I don't need to list his negatives, you probably know them. The same wasn't said about Hillary when she was in Congress. She was able to work with many republicans including Gingrich, who was her husband's enemy in the 90s. That's just a fact, not partisanship.
That's just willful disbelief if you don't think Hillary has thought about running for President, and what it would take to do so, for years. Not all that different from most who run for the office.
Like I said, I read Hillary's book and other articles where she spoke about herself and she never said flat-out that she was always planning to run for president someday. But even if she did, so what? Fiorina ran, Bachmann ran and neither of those women were particularly charismatic and knowledgeable. How about Elizabeth Dole who had important state positions at the same time as her husband and also planned to run for prez, just like he did? I don't recall that being held against her.
You are free to vote for who ever you would like. You posted this article asking why people don't like Hillary. I listened to plenty of NPR and left-wing Free Speech Radio during this primary and there were numerous liberals talking about they don't trust Hillary. Not right wingers, liberals were saying this. I'd surmise many of them will probably still support Hillary in the general but they still said it.
Look at her high unfavorable ratings. They aren't coming from just Republicans.
I listen to NPR also and know there are liberals who don't like or trust Hillary. Just like many cons who don't like or trust Trump. But I see a huge gap in knowledge and experience between the two presumptive nominees and would never, ever vote for Trump. All he has going for himself is the cult of personality. If it comes down to the two of them will you hold your nose and vote for Trump?
