Post 66 proves you wrong even without the states. Besides you say produced water was not regulated. You didn't say it wasn't regulated by the EPA. You tried to move the goalposts but even failed at that.

I believe that in the early days there were infractions and shortcuts taken, but I doubt that there were more than a a few dozen at the most. What I can say with certainty is that in the UK all wells will be triple lined and all flowback water will be put into closed containers.
