CT gun registration leads to confiscation

Official CT State Police spokesman says that state police would participate in door to door gun confiscations

The State of Connecticut says that all citizens must register rifles and high capacity magazines, or be charged will a felony. As many as 100,000 people could face heavily armed police smashing down their doors and be charged with a felony.

The legislature of CT says that a registration is needed so they can know where the guns are. Yet at the same time, they are sending threatening letters to gun owners. So they already have records of who has purchased certain guns. The fact is, that the CT legislature fully intends to confiscate hundreds of thousands of firearms anyway. The registration process will simply make it easier to confiscate, because you acknowledge that you still own a firearm that the state already suspects that you own.

CT State Police Spokesman Lt. Vance says that state police would comply with an order from the state to conduct door to door gun confiscations.

Experts claim that as many as 350,000 people are in violation of the law, and over 100,000 of those people could face felony charges. That means over 3.6% of the entire adult population of Connecticut has been transformed into a felon by the new registration law. Roughly one in twenty Connecticut homes could have their doors smashed in by heavily armed law enforcement seeking to confiscate firearms.

"100,000 COULD face heavily armed police..."

COULD...not WILL...as usual it's all unfounded hyperbole from another fear mongering Rightie.

"COULD face felony charges"..."COULD have their doors smashed in"... still more unfounded fear mongering.

CT residents COULD wake up to nuclear war with Russia tomorrow, but in all likelihood, that won't happen...

See that's the part the fear mongers won't mention...the likelihood it won't happen.

Quotes from Lt. Vance

"It sounds like you're anti-American"
"It sounds like you're anti-law"
"It's not your affair what I do or don't do"
"I'm the master"

Sounds like a nice opportunity to let the judiciary further clarify what the 2nd is all about.

To pass laws that prohibit the making of something, past a deadline, is one thing (not that I even agree with that); but to pass a law that makes it illegal to own something, that you bought legally, is something else.

First it was just Saturday Night Specials. Then they came for guns that looked like military weapons. Then they came for high capacity magazines. Then they said rifles needed to be registered and were no longer just for hunting. Then they came for our shotguns because some angry blacks used them in mass shootings. Next they came for our wealth because they claimed we had too much.

If you're still not seeing a pattern, you're too stupid to be trusted with liberty.

Do you bleat like a sheep when the State tells you to bend over?

they've done it in New York and they are doing it in Cali, so why should CT be any different? my guess is that there will be some shots fired, people and cops killed, the media will propagandize about all the lawlessness of assault weapons, conveniently ignoring that the cops have their own, and zappa will continue to deny that confiscation will happen after registration.

i just see a trip through the judicial system at mach speed and not in favor of CT.

Awwwww...isn't that the cutest?

Defective Truth can't refute my points so he once again responds the only way he knows how, with more pathetic invective.

He certainly doesn't want to discuss the fact I correctly pointed out the OP is just more nonsensical hyperbole from sad Rightie fearmonger USDimBulb.
