Is "Thug" an overused term with racial undertones?

So wait there are violent thugs at college? Where?

The real thugs I know are doing life at Pelican Bay and San Quentin Folsom prison not at Stanford University.
 
Thugs exist in all colors. The term itself isn't racist at all. If some white guy had gone off on a rant like that you would be seeing a bunch of mainly white folks calling him a thug on Facebook afterward too. If Sherman isn't a thug he certainly exhibited thuggish, classless speech at that point, at that time. As a result, more and more folks across the country are saying go Broncos.
