A&E suspended Phil Robertson

being pretty is no surity that incest is part of the equation. Bible says he had 3 daughters, that they were fairest in the land, that he granted them inheritnce same as their brothers and lists their names. thats what the Bible has to say on the subject of Job's daughters. so now perhaps the accuser can offer any sort of proof of this claim ? I kind of doubt it as they typically do not respond. But there is a first for everything, right ?

Ignorance is one thing in common among leftists.

I refuse to address the comments concerning blacks because it is an exercise in futility with so many folks. There would be the same tired, old comments and accusations of racism no matter what is said. I will say that in a lot of places in OK, and I assume other places in the US, there were good, decent relationships between and among black folks and whites. It wasn't all perfect but some of us grew up with one another, our parents hoeing the same fields, serving in the same military, going to the same churches (though I loved visiting all black congregations) and us kids playing catch and going fishing with one another. I only engage in the moral side if this situation because it is near and dear to me and gives me a chance to rant to someone besides my wife. I'm not changing anyone's mind and they ain't changing mine.

But the reality is, that by and large blacks and whites had a tumultuous relationship. You want to look at "the moral side" well that is fine and all, but in reality to understand WHY blacks and whites truly didn't get along by and large one has to look at the relationship starting with slavery on down to civil rights.

Harvey Levin, the founder of celebrity gossip website TMZ.com, threw his support behind Phil Robertson and his right to believe what he wants to believe.
Levin tweeted:

Harvey Levin and TMZ says Phil’s firing smells like hypocrisy.

A&E’s suspension of Phil Robertson seems totally hypocritical, doesn’t it? The “Duck Dynasty” family’s never hidden their strong religious beliefs — so, why is the cable channel acting like Phil’s anti-gay comments are a big surprise?

:rofl2:

A&E likes the money, and the queer ducks there will run the show until their pals cry. The people who work at A&E have more in common withGLAAD than the Robertsons.

‘Duck Dynasty’ Fallout: GLAAD Reeling From Biggest Backlash in Years, Says Rep

In the fallout over Wednesday’s suspension of “Duck Dynasty” star Phil Robertson by A&E for anti-gay and racist remarks, GLAAD is experiencing record levels of backlash.

“In the five-and-a-half years I’ve worked at GLAAD, I’ve never received so many violently angry phone calls and social media posts attacking GLAAD for us speaking out against these comments,” the media watchdog organization’s vice president of communications Rich Ferraro told TheWrap.

He said those reactions range from those who simply believe as Robertson believes to those who feel that GLAAD and A&E’s actions limit the reality star’s free speech.

[h=1]Duck Dynasty's $400m empire booms despite gay sex row: Walmart SELLS OUT of show merchandise as fans flock to support Phil[/h]
  • MailOnline can reveal a show publicist did accompany Phil Robertson to interview - but was NOT there when made his damning homophobic comments to GQ magazine
  • However, sources say Phil made similar comments 'throughout interview' so A&E WOULD have been fully aware of the general tone of the interview
  • Robertson family are sticking by patriach Phil - and are refusing to film TV hit without him

As the future of their show lies in doubt, the Duck Dynasty clan are still making millions thanks to their megabucks Walmart merchandising deal, MailOnline can today reveal.

The Robertson family has a merchandise empire that is estimated by Forbes to be worth about $400million - and their deal with Walmart makes up around half of this.

And today, as Walmart refused to comment on the future of their relationship with the TV family, just one glimpse at the chainstore's website shows fans are flocking to buy Duck Dynasty merchandise amid the furor over patriach Phil Robertson's homophobic comments.

Walmart announced at their annual shareholders meeting that the best-selling item of apparel for both men and women this year was the reality show's T-shirt, according to Forbes.

Forbes writer Claire O'Connor said: 'When I was down in Arkansas for this Walmart meeting, you really do marvel at the amount of people who are wearing these Duck Dynasty T-shirts and hats.

'There are kids pajamas, there is camo bedding and you probably won't be surprised to hear that they sell Duck Dynasty prayer devotionals.'

This also includes the No. 1 country album on Billboard for the month of November, Duck the Halls.

She added that even though Walmart had dumped Paula Deen over her racism row, it was 'still early' with regards to Duck Dynasty, saying: 'I think for this demographic, anti-gay rhetoric is not considered as much of a huge sin as racism.

'The ball is in Walmart's court. They are going to have to make some sort of decision on this. The only way this retail empire will be at stake is if Walmart decides they are not going to sell these items anymore and I really cannot see that happening. Other smaller brands will probably wait for Walmart to take the lead on this.'
