Members of a public for profit organization have an obligation to do what is in the best financial interests of the shareholders. Not what is in the best interest of the United States, or humanity in general.

I have never watched this show, nor do I have any desire to watch it. But let's put the stupidity of A&E and the PC crowd on display for everyone to see; this man got fired NOT for what he said in the TV show which is carefully edited, but for what he said OFF the air in an interview hit piece.

This family should just tell A&E's hypocrite executives to go pound sand. Other programs would be thrilled to pick up a program generating nearly a billion a year.

I'm amazed that there are that many people in the country who find such a show that interesting myself. ::shrugs::

Someone suggested that this was a "set up", since he's made no secret of his religious beliefs.
This could very well be a ploy by A&E, in an attempt to bolster what could be a drop in viewers.

Either way, the Robert's family isn't going to suffer from this.

As I said, just flat wrong. The reason they can assemble is the 1st Amendment, and the reason they are allowed the same freedoms of speech is the same amendment. There is no "If you make money" provision in the 1st that ends your freedoms. There is no "if" portion that allows you to do one and not the other.
