cars kill 30k people a year. lets ban cars. that's 10-11 9/11's of death, and everyone is completely indifferent to that number. it's completely inconsequential. The bottom line is though, that it is a fact, if we banned cars, death by cars would be dramatically reduced. Society and you yourself have decided that 30k people dying each year is a suitable price to pay for the freedom to move about. In another way, you could say your ability to drive to arby's or the ability to drive to your job is worth 30,000 people being killed each year, although you'll never frame it that way.
And in the same way, a few kids getting popped in the brains is worth the price to be able to own guns. Gun rights are sacred. You aren't taking them. So too bad.
