Syrian warplanes and artillery bombarded rebel suburbs of the capital today after the United States agreed to call off military action in a deal with Russia to remove president Bashar al-Assad’s chemical weapons.



Syrian rebels, calling the international focus on poison gas a sideshow, dismissed talk the arms pact might herald peace talks and said Assad had stepped up an offensive with ordinary weaponry.



One Assad supporter said “Russia will give us new weapons that are better than chemical weapons. We are strong enough to save our power and fight the terrorists.”

What does it matter when you are led by a President who draws redlines he can't back up, walks away from his rhetoric claiming it is others redlines and conducts a foreign policy that is seat of the pants and verbal gaffs.

There's no leadership in this Presidency or this inept Administration.

Saddam Hussein's WMD were taken to Syria, we all talked about those three boats to nowhere that left Iraq and drifted around aimlessly before we invaded Iraq.

I think it wasn't Obama's intent to show Assad who is the boss. But it doesn't go unnoticed that you are now cheerleading for war. Maybe the Republicans will show Assad who is the boss. Nobody really thinks this war is postponed for long.

And every body but Anti-Party are gutless fucks who don't have the courage to register their opinion. Not much of a credible opposition to Obama at all.

Yeah we know. Obama had a red line then didnt have a red line. Ad he was going to go without Congress before he was going to get Congress's approval, then this deal was his plan all along and he secretly played Putin.

Let me be clear, I oppose an hostilities with Syria. Did they attack us on 9-11?
