I'm a Canadian and can't vote for Obama. When people come out and claim that Obama reneged on his 'red line', which many have, then they are saying the same as he is dragging his feet on going to war. Or if you prefer, he didn't really mean it when he stated his red line.
I don't think that can be argued but you may want to try to argue that it is different than 'not really wanting war'.
I can see why Republican heads are exploding all over the country today.... President Obama stood firm, while the Republicans tried to undermine him the entire way, and without dropping a single bomb has forced Syria to the bargaining table where they have agreed to give up their chemical weapons program.

Fighting in a UN coalition does not make nations allies. I know it is hard to wrap your tiny mind around the reality that Syria is no more a friend or ally than Russia is. We have no agreements with; we have no treaties with them.

Hey, hold on a minute. Kerry's slip of the tongue was responsible and Kerry clearly tried to get himself out of it by claiming it was just less than serious rhetoric.
So it's quite a stretch to say that Obama was responsible. More likely the Russians and Syrians picked up on Kerry's words and ran with it, making them mostly responsible.
In any case, war hasn't been averted and it will still take place. Probably on schedule too!

I don't think it is about Obama "reneging" on his red line statement; it is more about his ineffectual bluster to appear tough with nothing to back it up. It is even MORE of an issue when he claims he didn't draw that red line, that it was everyone else.
The man is an embarrassment of the highest order and will go down in history as a worse President than even Carter.
