Correct, he should do it but he doesn't have to and would be well within the constitutional powers of his office if he popped off some cruise missiles 10 mins. from now.

He can. It would be seriously unintelligent, but that's never stopped Obama before.

Imagine if the UN report came back and it did not put the onus of a chemical attack on Assad .. after Obama has already launched missiles and killed innocent people?

I do however recognize that just like the Crawford retard Obama oes have the authority to go it alone and just like the Crawford retard he is seeking authorization first, this time his evidence is actually not lies cooked up.
 
Here is what I would do if I was Barack and I was hell bent on going through with this: i'd call John Boehner and Mitch McConnell up and have them come to the W.H., i'd make sure there were a pool of reporters with cameras and the whole nine yards and i'd say this: "hey John and Mitch, listen here, I don't want nor need your fucking opinions or authorization on anything, all you've done for the last 5-6 yrs is stall and play partisan politics so fuck you, listen to this boys"..........*picks up phone*, "commander, please commence with Operation Syria, thank you".
