I hate this, like the poor in this country need to be at banana republic level before they are to be helped! It sickens me when people say this, children going without enough food is wrong whether it is poverty like Belize or poverty here. It is worse here because we are a wealthy nation.

Hey, anyone who can ask the questions you asked about hungry children ( i actually flinched at one of them), has no business talking about spouting nonsense. This country, this world, needs a lot more Deshes and a lot fewer Superfreaks. You insult her with the most vile shit, and this woman obviously has a heart as big as all of the outdoors. Yours comes off as being a shriveled walnut. I mean every word of that. What a beautiful world this would be if everyone held her values. It's really that simple. It's about humanity. Hers is beautiful. And honestly, yours is ugly..not as ugly as some, but it's ugly.

No, they do not. But desh stated that poverty meant starving babies. It does not mean that. Because poverty here is not at the point where we have kids starving to death. That doesn't mean we shouldn't help, but it does mean the hyperbole she used is false.

Saying they are going without 'enough' food is also vague. What is 'enough'? Do we provide the basics for survival? Or because we are wealthy do we provide more? How much more? That is similar to desh's nonsense that minimum wage should be paid by corporations at a level that is enough to 'survive' on. It is a vague term. We are all going to define survival in a different manner. Add in the fact that stats show the vast majority of those on minimum wage are in service industries where they are often supplemented by tips. The 'restaurants' (using that loosely) that they don't are usually the McDonalds of the world... and those are predominantly teens/college kids. Do they need to earn enough from minimum wage to rent a place, pay for their cars etc...???

No, it does not. This country needs people that will actually think and discuss issues rather than spout off nonsense like she does. She has no clue what she is talking about... yet again.

As for vile shit... Desh is one of the most vile people on this board. She spouts off her hatred on a daily basis. So quit bitching when she gets some of the same right back at her.
