Sen. Feinstein calls Snowden's NSA leaks an 'act of treason'

Feinstein said that she doesn’t see National Security Agency leaker Edward Snowden as a hero or a whistle blower.
“I don't look at this as being a whistleblower. I think it's an act of treason,” the chairwoman of the Senate Intelligence Committee told reporters.

actually yes. Bradley Manning basically took 500k documents and threw them out into the ether, with little regard for whether or not there could be sensative information that could cause harm to our troops etc. He figured there would be some bad shit in there, and he was right.

Snowdon on the other hand had access to lots of information, terrible stuff, and was very methodical in what he released so that nothing could blow back and put those in harms way (other than those doing the snooping).

That said, I am not really anti-manning either. I think having some chaos and the potential for information to always be freed is something important. Keeps government on its toes.

“I describe this man has an American hero,” the judge told host Shepard Smith, “willing to risk life and liberty in order to expose to the American people one of the most extraordinary violations of the American principles, value judgments and the Constitution itself in all of our history.”

Napolitano continued: “[Snowden] is aware of the personal danger to himself. He knows of the likelihood of prosecution. But he also understands that the government listening to half the country is not what was bargained for when statutes were enacted in the days and weeks after 9/11.”

I think there are very few who are actually anti war. They just want to be the ones controlling the troops and who we kill.

They are anti war when it is convenient. They are anti deficit when it is convenient. They are anti tax when it is convenient

It is not about left or right or democrat or republican or liberal or conservative. It is about the elites and the rest of us. The elites will always protect the hive. That is why you see scumbags like Lindsay Grahmnesty side with Feinstein.
 
I'm torn on this issue......I have no objection to the federal government having access to the same information that Google sells to insurance companies and people who sell automatic rice cookers......

I also have no objection to the fact that this guy told us the government was doing it secretly....

I can't find anyone to hate.....

Isn't it a little difficult though to condemn China for snooping when the US does as much if not more?
