Responsible Gun Owner Dad Takes Kids Shooting In Park Filled With Other Kids!

Yes, does it mean a 4 year old would know not to shoot? OR, more likely to shoot??

What it "means"; is that if you're going to present an argument, you should at least try to stay on subject and not just try to twist things to your advantage.

You're an idiot.
This entire exchange, up to the point where you wanted to rewrite it, has been about children and now you want to make it look like a child equates a "stranger", in the presentation that you are building into a strawman.

Childhood gun and shooting accidents are not rare.

They are one of the top ten leading causes of accidental death for all age groups outside of newborns and infants.

In 2007, there were 122 unintentional firearm deaths in children, and an additional 3,060 nonfatal gun and shooting accidents, which resulted in an estimated 1,375 children needing to be hospitalized for their injuries. Unintentional firearm deaths in children have remained at about the same levels since, with 114 deaths in children and teens less than age 18 in 2010.

Gun Safety

Again, to help prevent these types of gun and shooting accidents, learning about gun safety is important.

Unfortunately, many parents don't store their guns safely, even when they have young kids in the home. In fact, one study showed that 85% of parents who owned guns did not practice safe gun storage.

Gun and Shooting Accidents

Some more recent gun and shooting accidents involving children include:

a 2-year-old in Cooper County, Missouri, died after shooting himself in the head with a handgun that "he got a hold of" in his house.

a 3-year-old in Loris, South Carolina, near Myrtle Beach, died after shooting himself in the head with a pistol that he found in the car.

a 5-year-old in Belleville, Illinois, near St. Louis, was accidentally shot in the head with a shotgun by his 10-year-old brother.

a 3-year-old in Maryland Heights, Missouri, near St. Louis, who shot himself once in the chest, died. He found the gun in his parents bedroom, one of whom is a police officer.

a 2-year-old was shot in the head by his 5-year-old brother in Connersville, Indiana who was playing with a gun he found in a bedroom. The boy, a twin, died of the gun shot.

a 3-year-old in St. Louis, Missouri who died after she shot herself in the head with a gun she found tucked between two mattresses.

a 6-year-old who was shot and killed by his 11-year-old stepbrother, in what was initially thought to be an accident, but the boy is now facing possible murder charges. The two boys were left home alone at the time of the shooting in Martinsville, Indiana.

a 10-year-old in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi died after he shot himself with his grandfather's gun that he found in his nightstand. He would have been going into the fifth grade next fall.

a 15-year-old from Cherry Hill, Baltimore was shot in the head and killed by a 12-year-old friend who was playing with the gun during a sleepover.

a 5-year-old from Bossier City, Louisiana found a loaded handgun a cabinet in his home, and accidentally shot and killed himself.

a 2-year-old near Fresno, California found a loaded, semi-automatic handgun in his home, walked into a bedroom with the gun, and it fired, striking and killing his 6-year-old sister.

a 3-year-old in South Carolina was shot in his upper boy by his uncle who was cleaning his gun when it accidentally fire. The toddler died in emergency surgery.

a 2-year-old in Georgia was shot in the back by a 9 or 10-year-old who found a gun in a van they were all playing in while the toddler's family was preparing to move to a new apartment.

a 2-year-old in Phoenix was shot in the face with a handgun by her 8-year-old brother, who thought he was playing with a toy gun he found on the floor of his grandfather's apartment.

a 3-year-old in Summerville, South Carolina who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to her head after finding a loaded, unsecured handgun on the window sill of her parent's bedroom

a 5-year-old in Telferner, Texas who shot his 4-year-old brother in the abdomen with a rifle they were playing with in their home. His brother died from the gun shot wound.

a 2-year-old in Missouri who died after he accidentally shot himself in the head after finding a loaded handgun on a shelf in the closet of his parent's bedroom

an 11-year-old in Indianapolis who was accidentally shot by his brother

three children in Houston who were hurt when a 6-year-old accidentally fired a gun he had brought to school

an 8-year-old in Alabama who died from an accidental shotgun blast

a 2-year-old in Vermont who died after he was accidentally shot with a rifle by a sibling

a 10-year-old who lost use of his right eye after being shot by an older teen cousin while they were playing with a gun that they thought was unloaded

a 3-year-old in North Carolina who shot and killed himself

a 4-year-old who accidentally shot a 12-year-old in Louisiana while playing with a rifle they found in a closet

As you can see, most gun and shooting accidents involve children who find unsecured, loaded guns around the house.

Father, daughter fire off pellet gun in crowded Ditmars Park

A nearby mother said she 'thought (she) was hallucinating' after witnessing the bizarre father-daughter exchange. Cops didn't arrive for an hour and the 'knucklehead' was gone.

A man and his young daughter terrorized a crowded Queens playground Tuesday when the dad fired a pellet gun that looked like a real firearm, frightened parents said.

The father whipped out the plastic gun, which resembled a .38-caliber pistol, in Astoria’s Ditmars Park around noon, witnesses said. He then spent popped off shots at a nearby tree, the website Queens Mamas reported.

It gets worse. The bad dad eventually handed over the gun to his little girl, who rode around on her bicycle pointing it at a pair of 2-year-olds playing, witnesses said.

Horrified parents called the cops, who took more than an hour to arrive.

The gunman’s wife, who would not give her name, admitted Tuesday night that her husband may have used poor judgment.

“I agree the gun looks real,” she said, adding that her older son purchased the piece at a street fair in Poland. “They shouldn’t have brought it to the playground.”

Maria, the frightened mother, was less diplomatic. “That man is nuts. He’s dangerous.”

Repeating the same shit won't change the facts retard.
Bunch of retards saw something, a kid playing with a toy, they didnt like the toy so they called plod, plod didnt take the report seriously( because they knew the gun wasn't real, because the person reporting it said it was a toy!!
Hard core fanatics like you wish to ban the toys you disagree with, it's your retarded agenda.

Now back to slapping yourself in the face, retardo!

People don't calculate statistics when confronted with someone pointing a gun at your child. My thought would be a 4 year old got his hands on his dad's gun and is about to shoot my kid. Would you just dismiss it as "despite liberal propaganda parents do not send four year olds cycling round a playground with a loaded gun"

Here is a novel idea. Use your brain.
It wasn't a gun numb nuts.
Those reporting it said as much, hence the plods took an hour to respond.
If they believed for a second it was real they would have rocked up in seaconds in armoured cars dressed in swat gear.

You shit sucking retard.

The ONLY retard in this scenario (besides YOU) was the father who brought this realistic pellet gun to a public playground. If he wants his kids to 'play' with guns, he should have done it in the privacy of his own yard.

A bunch of parents took their kids to a public playground. What some saw was a man firing a gun at a tree, then handing the gun to his daughter, who rode around pointing the weapon at other children. Others only saw this kid riding around with a weapon, pointing it at other kids. NO ONE but the idiot father knew the gun wasn't real. There was NOTHING about the physical appearance that would tell you that, no bright colored barrel tip etc.

Queens dad who let daughter use pellet gun at park arrested

Zbigniew (Jack) Pawlowski took his two children and a pellet gun to Ditmars Park in Astoria. After firing at a tree, he allowed his daughter to ride her bike around the park, aiming the weapon at 2-year-olds. He was charged with reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest.

Zbigniew (Jack) Pawlowski was released Thursday after being charged with reckless endangerment, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest, a spokesman for the Queens district attorney’s office said. He faces seven years in prison if convicted.

Pawlowski, 54, was with his daughter and 3-year-old son in Astoria’s Ditmars Park on Tuesday morning when he began firing a plastic pellet gun — which resembled a .38-caliber pistol — at a nearby tree. He then gave the pistol to his daughter, who rode around on her bicycle and aimed the gun at a pair of 2-year-olds, outraged parents claimed.

WOW, you are getting hammered so bad here, your replies reflect how desperate and over-matched you are. Plus, you have the cognitive level of a child.

Took an hour for the police to respond.
This was a low priority event, some libtard was offended by the nature if the toy.
That's all.
You probably dial 911 each time a toddler passes your group home!!

Remember this is NYC where it is a crime to sell toy guns!!

Don't be scared retardo.
It's only a toy!!

You just can comprehend the fact parents in that park didn't know the gun wasn't a real, lethal weapon. After the fact information is irrelevant. The father screwed up BIG time. It may not be a real .38 caliber handgun, but it is more than a 'toy'. Pawlowski was also charged with possession of an illegal BB gun.

Ignorance of the law is not an excuse. Pawlowski is personally responsible to know the laws. If he doesn't like NYC laws, he should move to a town where the pickup line at the local bar is "nice TOOTH"

It's simple exaggeration by the press, retardo.
It was reported as an offensive toy by some liberal paedophile.
If it was believed to be a gun it would have been reported as such and the pigs response would have been immediate and massive.
An hour later, you retard.
No one was terrorized.
Just some liberal who forgot his shit sock that morning, got offended by people enjoying a fun day out in the park.
