The insanity of blaming Islam

Jews deny the divinity of Jesus. What's your point?

The point was to educate you about the error of this statement you made.

" The church is against capital punishment; the church considers Muslims to be saved"

Not only would that be a massive error in the church's part but also an impossibility according to the bible.
You may remember the bible and the New Testament , the source of the knowledge of Jesus and his sacrifice that offers Salvvation to all that accept and believe in him. Those verses clearly reveal your quoted statement was either a lie or a gross error on the part of the Catholic Church. For Muslims deny Christ's divinity and the fact that only he brings Salvation to man.

Aside from being anti-Semitic, anti-Catholic and having a few phobias, yeah, Graham's an okay guy.

When you start referring to Christian terrorism I may take your Muslim comments under advisement.

There hasn't been any 'Christian' terrorism for centuries.....and what we commonly refer to as Christian terrorism is actually "Papal" terrorism under the guise of
Catholicism...........hundreds of years ago.....

Westboro Church might qualify as obnoxious assholes and racist, bigoted clowns, but hardly terrorist in a real sense, or even Christian in a real sense.....

There has been no terrorism that is condoned by, or supported by, mainstream Christians in any real sense of the word for centuries.....
and terrorism has never been taught by them as a tenet......

Church teaching is that "All human beings are called to belong to the Church. Not all are fully incorporated into the Church, but "the Church knows that she is joined in many ways to the baptized who are honored by the name of Christ, but who do not however profess the Catholic faith in its entirety or have not preserved unity or communion under the successor of Peter" (Lumen gentium, 15). In addition, the Church declares the possibility of Salvation for non-Christians and even non-theists:

Finally, those who have not yet received the Gospel are related in various ways to the people of God. In the first place we must recall the people to whom the testament and the promises were given and from whom Christ was born according to the flesh. On account of their fathers this people remains most dear to God, for God does not repent of the gifts He makes nor of the calls He issues.(126); But the plan of salvation also includes those who acknowledge the Creator. In the first place amongst these there are the Mohamedans, who, professing to hold the faith of Abraham, along with us adore the one and merciful God, who on the last day will judge mankind. Nor is God far distant from those who in shadows and images seek the unknown God, for it is He who gives to all men life and breath and all things, and as Saviour wills that all men be saved. Those also can attain to salvation who through no fault of their own do not know the Gospel of Christ or His Church, yet sincerely seek God and moved by grace strive by their deeds to do His will as it is known to them through the dictates of conscience.Nor does Divine Providence deny the helps necessary for salvation to those who, without blame on their part, have not yet arrived at an explicit knowledge of God and with His grace strive to live a good life.
—Lumen gentium 16

I find there's a certain segment of fundamentalists who have the nerve to proclaim that their interpretation of the Bible is the only true one. You appear to be one of them. All Christians were Catholic until the 1500s. It's pretty arrogant to claim that a scriptural interpretation made by a man, Luther, trumps the centuries of previous teachings. IMO your interpretation of Christianity is as harsh and unforgiving as any Muslim fundamentalist's interpretation of Islam.

No terrorism is condoned or supported by mainstream Muslims, either. Since you're an atheist, I find your arguments humorous at best.

Recent letter in our paper:

My heart goes out to the victims of the Boston Marathon bombing. It is outrageous that in our country today that even the wholesome act of running has become unsafe.

I can empathize because my peace-loving religious group, the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, lives under the constant threat of extremist violence in Pakistan. In fact, on May 28, 2010, a terror group killed 86 of my community's members and injured several hundred more -- all during prayer service. Sadly, the number of public attacks has only increased.

So as we mourn our dead and tend to our wounded in Boston, let us all come together to speak out against civilian violence wherever it happens.

Amen, the Christians on here resemble the Taliban in my opinion. I have no doubt, given the opportunity, they would use some of their methods to enforce their brand fundamentalism

i have said before and still think that background checks need to be made before the purchase of a firearm, ammunition and/or clips for firearms

i think that the entire background check system needs to be overhauled and severe penalties (at least a felony) for not reporting ineligible people be instituted

make straw purchases a felony

and just to be fair, make not removing a person from the check list both a criminal and civil action

How is this going to stop criminals from possessing firearms?

Please list any quoting of Luther that I made in that post. The Church now gets to refute Jesus's own words. My, my how damn nice!

Again, denying Christ's own words!! So damn convenient!!

Church does not get to deny the words of Jesus. That you think it does proves you have no true faith at all .

if you don't want Islam blamed you would be advised to stop yourself from referring to them as Muslim terrorists, neh?..........perhaps you could refer to them as "Chechan-born-US-citizens-of-unidentified-religious-affiliation-but-who-went-to-mosque-weekly-terrorists"......

I refer to them simply as terrorists.

Read Onearmsword's comments (paraphrasing) "you have no real faith [unless you believe the way I do.]'

Which words of Jesus do you think the Church denied?

John 3:18, "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God."

John 3:16, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

(John 10:9) " I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture."

(John 14:6) "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Liar. I made this statement and there is no mention of myself in it.

All reference was on the words Jesus spoke. Nothing about me you stonefaced liar!

You think the Church's words are wrong. You said the Church doesn't get to deny the words of Jesus. You cherry-picked verses and used them without context. You decided that my faith is false. And then you sunk to the standard conservative response of name-calling because I posted something you disagreed with.

In your harsh and unforgiving judgment the vast majority of the world's believers who don't ascribe to your version of religion are condemned. You use the words of Christ to push people away rather than welcome them in.

Better check yourself, hubris is a deadly sin.

John 14-6 is self explaining and your attempt to dismiss it is so noted. Take your own advice .
I gave you Jesus's own words and you still deny the point I made. If the Church declares the Muslims to be saved when they deny Christ the Church is dead wrong. No way around it and no wiggle room.
Deny the Savior is a deadly sin and you should ask forgiveness immediately .
Or explain how John 14-6 ALLOWS EXCEPTION THAT JESUS NEVER MADE, THAT'S RIGHT IT DOESN'T BUT YOU DECLARE THE CHURCH DOES. Which one do you choose to believe? Jesus or the Church?
My harsh words are against the lie being promoted ..

A reminder just for you...

(John 14:6) "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."

Matthew 6:24

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.

Matthew 25

****31“But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.32“All the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;33and He will put the sheep on His right, and the goats on the left.

****34“Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.35‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;36naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’37“Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?38‘And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?39‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’40“The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

****41“Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;42for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;43I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’44“Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?’45“Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.’46“These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.”

Great you are noting what will be said to those that denied Christ= the Islamists. For they deny that Jesus is the Son of God..
Good job. Finally you get one correct..

The problem is, when you try to say how God's going to judge and weigh people you're putting yourself in his place and that's a no-no.

FYI, Catholics read the Bible too, and the Bible is part of Mass.
