you have the right to resist unlawful arrest
just pointing out the fact that if its subject to a jury's review it isn't a right if they decide its a wrong......
you have the right to resist unlawful arrest
there's no right to be free from fear. learn to read.
do you have a RIGHT to be FREE FROM FEAR???????? no, didn't think so.
You see folks? I guess this is how it works.... If one believes the Constitution is on your side....you keep prattling on. When another points out a definitive argument that could possibly negate your viewpoint, or at least make a case for a reasonable debate....we change the verbiage.
Those kids at Sandy Hook aren't scared...they're dead. Those people in Aurora and Columbine aren't scared....they're dead. Virginia Tech? Dead. And that's not to mention all the people in our cities that have been killed by gun violence. They're dead too.
You, on the other hand....feel that fuckin' BACKGROUND CHECKS for private sales is the first step in a grand conspiracy to take our guns( yes.. I am a multiple gun owner).
Now tell me... who's dead....had their Constitutional right to life taken away....and who expects a constitutional right to "be free from fear"?
juries get shit wrong all the time, usually because of the judges instructions as well as their own stupidity. the USSC is the one that stated you have a right to resist an unlawful arrest, FYI.just pointing out the fact that if its subject to a jury's review it isn't a right if they decide its a wrong......
when howey thanks you for your post, maybe you should consider your position.awe, dumbfuck....learn to read the whole sentence.....then you won't look so stupid.....
blah blah blah. what are you trying to say, other than you're pissed that you got burnt? You see folks? I guess this is how it works.... if you think there is no difference between a 'right to life' and a 'right to be free of fear for your life', then you are truly stupid.I would only worry about my position if I said something truly stupid......like arguing a right to life is something different from a right to be free from worrying some idiot is going to take it......
At some point it would, I am free to swing my arms, until I get to a place where your nose is in range.
That is exactly right. The problem is, due to some people being hit in the nose, you want to regulate how everyone swings their arms.
Not everyone....just the violent felons and the mentally I'll....and of course, the people who either have no qualms, or a huge sense of apathy about selling to them without checks.
Which of the recent high profile shootings would have been stopped by the new & improved background checks?
Does it matter? What if improved background checks only thwart one or two massacres in the next 100 years? Is it really that much to ask for you to complete a sale through a dealer?
Does it matter? Yes, it matters. The system we have in place now has repeatedly failed. People who have been treated for mental illnesses that should have been reported to the system were not. Adding more calls in to the background check system is not goingto change that. Felons that attempted to buy guns and lied about their status have not been prosecuted. More calls to the system is not going to change that.
Enforce the laws we have now instead of creating a bigger and more expensive pile of red-tape.
