Airstrip One
Completely Effed
Bottom line is no one really cares about this.

So......IS this a publicity stunt to drag the states politicians into this ?
If and when the high school does officially host a prom it will be not be segregated so what is the point of making it political.
Seems to me the goal is to smear Deal if he remains silent and lets the school make it own decisions without pressure from the state.....
This tactic certainly works for the left in the eyes of the public.
Its not the states place to force the school to host any social activity is it ?.....It they did host a segreated prom, that would be a whole different matter and
a valid reason for the state to step in.....
I understand, you stupid old bigot. Opposition to a segregated prom is a publicity stunt and your concern over what some kid wrote in crayon is a sincere and legitimate concern about the rise of fascism and not the least bit politically motivated. Sure.
The school passes on hosting a prom so that it can be segregated by private hosts. You are not really so stupid that you don't understand that. You just don't really care.
Well, shitforbrains....there is no opposition that I've heard of yet....as a matter of fact, seems the direct opposite is the case.....its the dragging of
politics into the school board decision to actually sponsor a prom for the first time that is in question....
I don't know if they didn't before because of race.....if that is the case, the school board should have been looked at and the problem addressed a long, long time ago....
For a teacher to direct a kid to write that he would or should give up some of his constitutional rights, is, without doubt, politically motivated.....and if that
was the case, it was in direct opposition to lesson being taught by the attorney.......
Brush up on your reading comprehension....
Retarded bigot, you have absolutely no idea why the teacher had them write that. Who knows what the political motivation was or if there was any? Maybe the teacher is a neo-nazi, like you, supporting Cheney's ideas of the need to torture people accused of terrorism and denying due process rights.
So under what circumstance would this be okay? Thats a pretty strong statement to tell children to write down and apparently take home.

Have you never been asked to explore both sides of an issue in your college studies, Whiz Kid?
I remember heated conversations in my Government class, in 9th grade, over communism. To the point where tge teacher called some students "commie pinkos", yet no parents complained or wrote whiny letters to The Blaze.
What we got was education that explored every equation, not just the popular ones. An education far better than many children are receivinv today.
Incredibly, this education was in a government-run system, one which I came out of high school with a college level education.
For me, a person that believes in jealously defending all of our liberties, or for partisan douchebags like you and Nova?
I have no idea what the teacher intended, it's one classroom and without more information, I really don't see much point in getting worked up about it. Again, you want indoctrination, look at the examples I posted. Those are two documented, pervasive and egregious attempts at indoctrination.
What does this mean? For me, a person that believes in jealously defending all of our liberties
So am I to assume you can't maintain a simple, professional dialogue?for partisan douchebags like you and Nova

Are you really comparing a discussion in a High School class with the dictation of a sentence they are meant to write exactly as dictated? I wonder what the reaction would be if the sentence that young kids were supposed to write down exactly as I said it was, "I believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God who died for our sins." (I don't. And would question the teacher just as much as one who would have them write this dreck).
I could "remind" you of how in College you had a comparative religion class where you talked about people's beliefs... Would that make it better?
Well, you can see what the response would be in my post about the middle school in SC. The real example is far worse than your imagined one and includes a principal doing almost exactly what you said. This happens frequently and we can see conservatives don't care.
You of all people cannot claim nonpartisanship. You're a flaming upworthy billboard. Partisan douchebag indeed.
What does this mean?
So am I to assume you can't maintain a simple, professional dialogue?
While I agree we don't know the the whole truth the fact that she forced them (and forcing them is perhaps the worst part of it, aside from their youth) is upsetting enough. She ensured they were exposed to several mediums. I question it as much as I'd question any other blatent indoctrination.

Right, you can tell how much the "left" cares by the use of "they do it too!"
BTW - I'll tell you what I told both my children before they were five. "They do it too!" is a confession, not an excuse.
This wasn't a political discussion in a High School government class and the sentence was absolutely inappropriate to be dictating to primary school children, it remains so even if you are upset that some other idiot got in trouble for forcing some other kids to write some religious dreck that was equally inappropriate.
My point was well made. If the sentence was the Jesus one, you would be upset. But it wasn't, instead you tried to come up with some reason that it would be okay so long as it is your own dreck being used to indoctrinate, and in doing so made it clear you understand that it was inappropriate and support it anyway due to "they do it too"...
"For me, a person that believes in jealously defending all of our liberties, or for partisan douchebags like you and Nova? "
Lucky for me, we are in the former group while you are in the latter......
Rather than defend this parents concerns,
All you do is claim ignorance, which I commend you for admitting the truth, and being apathetic is certainly for fools, like you....
While you rant about an "overly Christian song" in school, you ignore all this :
