I could make the same type of argument about where one should buy their pizza or clothing, or even what sort of vehicle they should propel themselves around in. He goes with the manner in which one chooses to live a secure lifestyle. Guns, gated communities, etc. - it's all valid material for argument until you resort to the whole, "your way is less sophisticated and even murderous, psychotic, and barbaric" line of fallacy.

Governments are armed primarily to protect their citizens and to go to war on their behalf. The argument is not about emasculating your, or anybody's armed services, it is about stopping americans killing americans.
