Stevens and Smith were dead in the first hour. Nothing short of them not being in the first place was going to change their fate. Doherty and Woods died much later after several hours of calm, when it appeared the situation was under control. There WERE other forces attempting to move to the area but Libya is in disarray. If they had gotten there there is nothing to assure that Woods and Doherty would not still have died and it is possible our casualties would have increased.

I find it odd that two SEALS defended the compound for 7 hrs, and ultimately gave their lives to protect dead people.
The administration told us the embassy folks made the claim that a video was a the root of the attacks...did they....and ......what else could he say?
It was the administration that was apoligizing for the video at every opportunity for weeks afterward...

It's not even up for debate that Smith was dead within the first hour. Stevens went missing in the first hour and was never seen alive again. Any rational person would conclude he was likely dead.

They were sending in special forces. They did not get their in time (your claim of how soon they could have arrived is bullshit) and even if they had it may have only increased our casualites.
