Music as a Political Weapon?

Yeah, at least she is not thinking she's all smartypants. She is gonnna have beer and some fun! Woo hoo! Next, Dixie will claim that I am claiming that I am perfect.

Dance Dixie Dance. Come on tell us about how you are still right about equal thirds.

Dixie loves the Devil in the Dixie Chicks. It looks white and talks with an accent like he does. Good enough for him.

From the Philosophy of Bob:

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

I love Dylan; reminds me a lot of Woody and Arlo.

You are way too chicken shit to admit a mistake Dixie. How are you going to ever correct anything? Another line of my code is the baseball player. Put that error up on the board. Practice your mechanics. Its all code. It is all programming. Train, train and retrain.

Sounds like you were programmed to say what you did. :palm:

We on the left have used music as a political wepon sence the 60ies.So if you want to ignore the message.your ignoring the heart and soul of the music.

No you're not, you are just ignoring one particular person's viewpoint of the message. The left has USED music... you stated it well! Exploited would be another way to put it. But see... here's the thing, the left doesn't OWN music. It is a universal language. It is an art form. You can't own what art means to the admirer of it.

Some of my favorite artists are devout liberals. Some of their songs might be completely opposed to what I believe, but I can find appreciation for the art. Or maybe I don't find appreciation, maybe I am moved in another way, perhaps it even creates cynicism or anger, or pity? Does some liberal turdhead hold the exclusive rights to what the art means to me? Can I not be allowed to appreciate the art in my own way, is that no longer acceptable to you on the left? Apparently so.
