But, I wouldn't expect a socialist to think beyond their myopic view of wanting others to take care of them. Why is socialism so selfish?

There should be some kind of penalty for using "Facts" in a screenname held by someone so incredibly blind to them.

Unless you've made a lot of money .. I've probaly made more money than you have.

I have a degree, worked for the US Congress, and I own two businesses .. do you have that?

My point was and is that you don't now what the hell you're talking about. You don't have a clue what socialism is or what socialists do. You simply offered your Nickolodean thoughts about my "needing to be taken care of" without the slightest knowledge of anything .. which is the absolute opposite of anything whatsoever to do with "Facts" .. as I said.

In my ideal party, the Revolutionary Socialist Party, I would be the supreme leader and have absolute power over the platform of the party and the actions of its members. We would also have an armed wing, the People's Self-Defense Militia, who's goal was to protect America from attempts by rightists to seize power.

Why can't you libs just put your money where your mouth is and voluntarly support a po person? You claim to have run a couple of businesses, so surely you know that if you can cut out the middle man there are efficiencies.

Spending:

- Streamline government by combining useful departments/programs and eliminating useless ones;
- Pass a Balanced Budget Amendment and cap Federal spending at 20% of GDP during peacetime;
- Reduce military spending by 3% per year for 8 years in a row (to approx. $570 billion);

Taxes:

- Reform the tax code, making it simpler and less prone to evasion; tax Capital Gains as regular income;
- Lower corporate tax to 15%, but eliminate all breaks;
- Enact an inheritance tax of 60% on >$5 million;

Health Care:

- Replace the ACA with a single mandate: all States guarantee affordable health insurance in whatever manner they choose by 2020;
- Enact tort reform and repeal harmful regulations on the medical/health insurance industry;

Ethics/Campaign Finance:

- Amend the Constitution to ban corporations from tainting the political process;
- Increase membership in House from 435 to 558 (square root of US population); allow sitting President to choose 50 Representatives;
- Amend Constitution to limit number of terms in House to six, Senate to two, and President to three;

Money:

- Enact the Federal Reserve Transparency Act introduced by Rep. Ron Paul;

Education:

- Eliminate the Department of Education; replace with an advisory board consisting of teachers and parents (leave funding to the States);
- Get back to basics: English, mathematics, science (no "intelligent design"), and history;

Environment:

- Enact Cap & Trade and the Kyoto Protocol;
- Dramatically expand oil drilling, while increasing penalties for companies that harm the environment;


I would be happy to explain/defend any of the above positions.

I made a couple of posts which are ironic. The first is in reference to the Tosh Rape Jokes thread. Try to not be so thin-skinned.

If anyone doesn't get my crack about the "sluts:" it's an ironic joke about double-standards in society. I have always believed that women should be as equally prudent or decadent as men.

I, for one, will not accept that. You are a pervert plain and simple and possibly a criminal. You don't deserve the time of day post your very sick comments and stated attitudes. And you would not know irony or sarcasm if either slapped you upside your very stupid head.
 
Some feminists say no rape jokes are funny. I think that almost anything can be funny if it mocks the oppressor and not the oppressed. For instance, Wanda Sykes "detachable vagina" bit is what I would call hysterical. IT does not mock rape victims however...it mocks rape culture. Then there is Sarah Silverman's mocking of male comedians who think they are so cutting-edge and cool by telling rape jokes that mock rape victims. "I need more rape jokes" she whines. She then laughs at the very idea that rape jokes are "edgy" and points out: “Who’s going to complain about rape jokes? Rape victims?” she asked. “They barely even report rape.”

Rape jokes making rape victims or potentional rape victims the butt of the joke are something that plantation owners would have laughed at. When you are telling "jokes" that guys dead 200 years would find funny you're not edgy...you're just another white boy prick. Nothing new here. You don't have the balls to mock the power structure. You're an absuser not a revolutionary truth teller.
 
Of course none of this has anything to do with the Tosh situation. That was not a joke. Where is the joke? There is no joke. Tosh in the past told his audience of little pricks to video themselves rubbing the stomachs of unsuspecting and unconsenting women. the little pricks who find Tosh funny did so and then uploaded the results to youtube. They physically assaulted women on Tosh's say so. In many of the videos the women were noticably upset and angered.

In this situation, Tosh told these same pricks that it would be really funny if five guys raped a woman he selected from the audience "like right now".

This is not a joke, it's incitement to violence and if she had been raped Tosh would be laughing from prison.

Two different issues. I know it's difficult for the peabrains to get it straight though.
