Why would doctors need to know if you have a gun?

so the government knows you own those guns, right? do you feel 'safer' that way?

Feel safer?
I am not fear motivated. I do not really fear much of anything. Of course if you aggravate me too much I might just shoot you dead.
I am at the end and just do not give a rats ass about much of anything.

My state rep sent an official written request to the head of the KY state police and their legal dept responded.

Might smart ain't you :D

so you weren't exactly truthful when you said you asked the state police, but gave out info that you said came directly from them? how does that invalidate my statement?

Piss poor attempt at a recovery there.
But keep thinking you know everything, heck someone might even believe you.

Show me the law.
And even if the law exists on a federal level there is no mechanism in place to enforce it so it is useless.

I didn't dispute the particular law, someone else did. All I did was contest the validity of an opinion on the law based upon your statement of you asking the state police, which turned out to be not exactly truthful. Therefore, there was no necessity for ME to recover, but obviously you felt that you must.

I asked the state police by proxy. My state rep forwarded my request to them with his endorsement that it be answered, because he did not know the law on that point either.
I followed the same tack on the state police after my local post admitted they were not sure.

So you should be legally prohibited from broaching the subject? Fucking ridiculous. Why are gun owners tyrannizing us? Demanding that we bow to them at every turn? We need to get our own guns, and put gun owners in their place, before we restore the constitution that was marred by the Keller decision and ban guns once and for all from this once great land.

Catch up Watermark... I already said I don't think there should be a law. That doesn't change that I wouldn't answer the question.

and that's all fine and well. a legal opinion was given by legal counsel to the state troopers office, but you didn't say that before. thank you for correcting yourself.

Wow five pages of castration anxiety.

I wonder how many of the people who are outraged over this support so-called "conscience clauses" where any ole pimply faced fat slob with greasy hair can question a woman about her prescriptions and then refuse to fill them?

Only the ones with greasy hair? Dang. That was very specific and stuff. I've been excluded again... :(

I would be equally outraged at this invasion of my privacy.

I guess the question is, can doctors refuse to serve people who refuse to answer questions that are not related to the care requested?

Unless its an emergency situation or the Doctor is somehow contracturally obliged to do so, I belive the 14th Amendment outlawed indentured servatude and that there is nothing compelling a Doctor to serve people.
