I really don't think so, he's made sexist statements in the past Rana, and his descriptions of what a woman is on this thread were not good.

I do hate the pile-ons against poet. That's another reason I never said anything.

Just because he is a gay black man doesn't give him an automatic "get out of jail free" card. I like the guy, but he needs to understand that he can't just say anything without repercussions. It pains me to be on the same side as some of the neanderthals on here but war makes strange bedfellows. He even pissed off Thaichiliberal, Darla and Evince which certainly takes some doing.

I would agree that if you didn't know anything about a person except that they were 60 years old, black and gay you can probably correctly surmise that they have been through some real discrimination in their life.

Every man on this forum makes sexists statements, with the exception of DQ. The worse offender to me is the one who claims to love women the most.

I will have to reread his statements, all I was thinking is that I wanted to slap the bitch, too! Then while she was recovering from that, I would kick her in her balls, I am pretty sure she has them.

Just because he wanted to slap Jan Brewer. It is the reason the thread spiraled into a hate fest. Well, I am just here to say, I wanted to slap the bitch, too.

It was his comment that he would like to visit violence on any woman that pointed a finger at him that caused so many to rail against him.

I don't think DQ is the only man on here who doesn't make sexist statements though. I can think of two others. We definitely disagree on this, but I want to talk off board. It will be interesting.

I don't watch them do you? I also tell anyone who is watching them that they degrade women. It just isn't that black rappers who do it. It seems to be a theme in most videos these days. Young people have sex on the brains, films depict men trying to "get laid" no matter the cost. Women are depicted as looking for the perfect man. Stereotypes.

She couldn't take a little critique of her book, she's not as leathery as she looks. He is taller than her, probably lend in as to not embarrass her. Do you stoop when you talk to shorter women? Do you get down to their level.

I also asked why so many young women feel the need to dress like hookers to sell their songs, so here is an example of some extremely talented American women doing it their way.
