Weekly numbers In Florida are in and it's a disaster

I think we'll see the mandates back in place in short order. Compliance is getting better but it isn't back to pre vaccine levels. The big problem is the bars and restaurants. They are packed. No masks. And Coronavirus is present in almost every single establishment. We know that about 1 in 100 people in my county have been diagnosed with Covid in the last week. Virus is everywhere.
Yes -- this.

It is amazing to me that the left wants to shut down the economy so badly. Guess they want to continue to stay on unemployment forever!!

The state has reported numbers for the week ending 7/29, and they point very clearly to a slow motion disaster in the state. In Florida, there were 110,477 new cases, an average of 15,782 cases per day. That is the highest weekly total since the pandemic began. Higher than last summers outbreak, higher than the winter outbreak. The number represents an increase of 50% in just the last week and a ten fold increase since June. During the week, more than 1 in 200 Floridians was diagnosed with Covid. IN ONE WEEK. In Duval County, the epicenter of the outbreak, there were 8,308 cases last week, also the largest number of cases since the pandemic began. In Duval county, almost 1 of every 100 persons tested positive for Covid IN THE LAST WEEK ALONE. There is no way to stop this from getting way worse. It's far too late for a vaccination effort to mitigate the outbreak.

This is the nightmare scenario that is going to play out in every state that doesn't get their vaccination rates up. DeSantis is doing absolutely nothing to stop the spread. Every bar, restaurant and public venue is packed, no masks, no distancing. The disease is spreading incredibly fast. The vaccine defiant are 100% responsible for what is happening here, and will happen in every state. Their refusal needs to be met with draconian restrictions on their ability to participate in society. They have surrendered that privilege with their refusal to protect their fellow citizens.

Miami-Dade reported 4,141 positive COVID-19 cases on Wednesday. Its previous highest recent daily tally was 3,576 on July 12 and the county had not reported more than 2,000 daily cases since Aug. 1.

“Was this a sudden surge in new infections? No. As it turns out it was a data dump from a new private lab that included results from as far back as June. The data was stale. It was not indicative of current trends much less a quote record day of fresh infections in Miami,”

Drop in the bucket. There were 21,000 cases today alone.

Population of Florida: 21.5 million

New cases: .1% of population

For the week.... .5% of the population. In other words, one in every 200 people in Florida were diagnosed with Covid IN THE LAST WEEK. Come one down and hang out in the bars!!! You'll love it.!!!!

Hospitals had more than a year to prepare for any “surge.”

No they didn't. What did you think they were going to do, build new ICUs? This surge was not expected, because most people did not think there would be so many brain dead Republicans. They probably should have, but they didn't.

"Cases" is an utterly meaningless statistic. It just means a positive test result. It doesn't mean someone is actually sick. The term "case" shouldn't even be used.

Tell that to the people in the ICU. No one cares what you think should and shouldn't be used. Seriously. You are a nobody.

Cant trust the case reporting

You have flip flopped ten times in this thread alone. Cases were overreported. No, wait, there aren't that many cases. Well, yeah, there are a lot of cases, but cases are meaningless. Wait, you can't trust case reporting. What's next? Maybe some stupid shit about immigrants? LOL at you. There is absolutely no denying the massive outbreak The numbers don't lie. You can choose to turn a blind eye, or you can get with the program and help end the pandemic. I already know what you'll do.

And for every positive test, the person can infect 8-10 people, like chicken pox.

It is definitely real.

look, we get it. you got scared by all the hype and propaganda and lined right up to take an experimental drug. you believed the government and media, yet now the 'science' isn't proving what you were told to believe. It's embarrassing for you. So you have to go along with the propaganda so you feel less stupid than you already are............it's ok to accept that.

Is it just me? If a million Trumptopians die ... where's the Problem?

by now if you havent be exposed to COVID and or increasingly delta - it's a statistical certainty you will be.

Masking wont stop the spread. Social distancing helps, but wont stop the spread
closing down bars and lock downs wont do it either.
We KNOW this. the lockdown states dont escape the spread.

Masking was only supposed to us for 30 days - max- so as not to overwhelm hospitals because
masking can't stop the spread when the virus is established in the population
Social distancing works. but you have to stay out of stores.. Go to the beach and get Amazon delivery

Otherwise. get vaxxed, an keep healthy. The best way to do it because simple masking/lockdowns wont save you

I’ve been talking you stupid fucks about Death Santis for months.

Flip on this ...Commie

99% will survive Covid...u did your wife did

Forget the cases, they have always been red herrings. How many people are dying? Not many at all.

The CDC has already admitted that their PCR test was totally in accurate and useless. So therefore the official COVID case count is useless.

America has been conned.
